My teacher in 6th grade always said that he didn't care about our intentions, what happened is what we had to answer for. The same basic principal applies here. So what if he was INTENDED to be red? He was executed as blue, and is therefor blue.
PLEASE contact me if you have any of the following, or know where I can find them:
[list]
[*]Cybertron Leader Class Optimus Prime's wings
[*]RTS Deluxe Optimus Prime's sword
[*]Cybertron Voyager Vector Prime's sword

Thank you.

And that would make sense, if the G1 cartoon was the only or first source of fiction.....it is neither.

The order is as follows

G1 toy.......in which Rumble's red.
G1 Comic.....in which Rumble's red
G1 Cartoon...in which Rumble's blue.....but even there, the bible for the show says he's red.

So, he was only executed in 1/3 of the franchise as blue.

And there were also a few Lady Bird kids books, Activity books, Sticker books, all have Rumble as colored red.

The issue lies in the FACT that the cartoon got it wrong.

And I'm not trying to restart the argument, but it is a provable fact that Rumble was intended to be red.

I grew up watching the U.S version of the cartoon, so that's my personal G1 canon.

Hence my firm and unshakeable belief that FIRRIB.

But, each to their own - people can call them Jiminy Cricket and Daisy Duke if that floats their boat...

I'll get a red one, a blue one and call them whatever the hell I want to. In this case, Blue is Rumble and red is Frenzy.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

J/K. I think it's funny, the level of passion some people have about this argument.

I'll just get both, and put them on the shelf and always refer to either of them or both of them as "Frumble".

i always thought that since the toys came first fibrir

but since this post i have given up the false beliefs and now beleive in the one true frumble is red and/or blue

oh and which one is daisy duke? ddirjcib?

ooooorr on a side note it could be rumble is red in original toyline and some fiction except the G1 cartoon and frenzy is red in G1 cartoon but blue in original toyline and some fiction.

which gives us

RIRIOTLASFEG1CFIRIG1CBBIOTLASF see problem solved its super easy!

Can't believe I missed this debate the first time around. Allow me to chime in with my opinions:

1) RIRFIB and RIBFIR. I can go with either based on whichever continuity I am in. I wasn't aware of any continuity outside of the cartoon until after the 2007 film got me back into the fandom, so it was RIBFIR for me until then.

2) Cyclonus was made from Skywarp. I say that after the camera cut away from the two, the Skywarp Cyclonus blew away the Bombshell Cyclonus from behind and that's why we never saw it again.

Sure, you can point to all your empirical evidence like storyboards and actual film and all that mumbo-jumbo. Fact of the matter is, if Skywarp had been in the foreground and Bombshell in the background, this wouldn't even be a question.

3) I really wish Hasbro had released Rumble and Frenzy as a two-pack with absolutely no indication of which is which. Just to play on the debate.
For the love of Primus, why must I be a Mississippi State fan?

Sure, but allow me to give you some facts.

Not being aware of the facts doesnt change their status as facts.
2) Cyclonus was made from Skywarp. I say that after the camera cut away from the two, the Skywarp Cyclonus blew away the Bombshell Cyclonus from behind and that's why we never saw it again.

Sorry but your wrong on all counts.

Cyclonus was made from Bombshell.

The camera was centered and focused on the one in the foreground, and that was Bombshell. As camera cut away, the one that was Skywarp was still in the background.

And he just didnt disappear and was never seen again.

He was seen at the 2nd battle at Autobot city, and in at least 1 episode of season 3.
Sure, you can point to all your empirical evidence like storyboards and actual film and all that mumbo-jumbo. Fact of the matter is, if Skywarp had been in the foreground and Bombshell in the background, this wouldn't even be a question.

Your right, because thats solid evidence.

Face it, its not like Cyclonus's characters is really anything like either Skywarp or Bombshell.

So, the only way to get an answer is to look at the "empirical evidence".

It's been a proven fact that the cartoon got many things wrong because they were drawing and painting the cells based on concept art of the toys before they were finalized.
