I dont know what to say about this pack, other than i have Dropkick and Salvage which both are very cool figure and dont need sideways, since i have the Takara version anyway. But, how and where hasbro got the name of Blowpipe is beyond me. they should've used names like: Stickshift or huffer would have worked too, but change the paint app though. another could be rotor or sprocket just throwing names out there and anything can be better than Blowpipe my god!!!

And that set puts me in a pickle. I want Dropkick, for sure, but Blowpipe is practically the same, except he's an Autobot. I'm gonna wait on comparison pictures, as I know from experience that blue to purple are very fickle colors.

anywa, I might be inclined to get this set. As i never got the Pickup truck mold and he looks cool, and haven't bought Sideways either yet. so just maybe I'll get it.

Last month we have reported that there is a new ROTF 2-pack - Super Tuner Showdown Box set. This set consist of 2 deluxe figures - Blowpipe & Sideways. However we do not have any other information about the availability and release date.

Chinese online auction website Taobao.com has listed the above mentioned box set for sale. From the new images of the box set, this ROTF box set is to be the exclusive item for Walmart.

Blowpipe is a repaint version of Dropkick from Transformers movie 1.

Somehow, I think Blowpipe's actually supposed to represent G1 Minibot Pipes, and stealing a Targetmaster gun's name was the closest thing they could trademark.

Couldn't hasbro user another mold besides the dropkick/salvage mold!
for god sakes!! hasbro will kill this mold too!! I think they should have used the breakaway (07 walmart exclusive) mold into Windcharger or done a redeco of Big Daddy mold into wheeljack and use the Dead end repaint for the super tuner showdown!! now that i would buy!!!
and would everyone agree???

Maybe Blowpipe is a relative of Huffer.

I believe that Blowpipe it's not relative whit Huffer. I think it's related more whit G1 Pipes because of the color.

never got dropkick to begin with...
but im not paying the price for a 2 pack, don't really care about barricade,
dropkick was "meh" before, no that he is a G1 homage, hes ok
i think i will pick him up loose aftermarket

Except they were originally molds from the Cybertron line... Look up Hot Shot and Downshift respectively. And it's only the second repaint after Salvage. So no, I don't agree.

Sigh.....

Ever since I ever saw Salvage the first time I have always wanted Hasbro to do a slight retool of this to be Trailbreaker. Either him or the other figure that was released along with the Walmart exclusives Breakaway, Fracture, Big Daddy and Dropkick figures (I can't remember the other figures name but he was a blue Police SUV and he could have worked as Trailbreaker too.)

I already have both molds so im gonna pass. Hasbro is really getting lazy these days. Stop putting out useless repaints and just make more of the figures that are out already. Still cant find Longhaul and a few other figures. I knew that hole "we dont make repaints for the sake of making repaints" statement was a flat out lie.

If they MUST repaint Dropkick AGAIN...can they at least get rid of that dopey claw gimmick? Seriously, you can take that bulky piece off the toy completely and it still transforms perfectly. It gives the vehicle a trunk bed.

I prob won't be picking this up, but if I do, I'll just leave the extra Sideways in alt mode and display him that way.
