I've read/heard from some reviews that the legs tend to be somewhat fragile and I think at least one person said their Scalpel's had a couple of cracked legs by the end of the first day of ownership so I'm afraid you're not the only one experiencing issues with the Scalpel's legs.

I have Scalpel, and while none of the legs on mine are broken, they are loose and fragile. The whole leg structure is flimsy. I think this is just in the design of the toy, with the legs being so thin.

Somehow, one gimpy leg suits the twisted concept of the good, err, bad doctor Scalpel. :)

Mine is fine..so far. I don't really fiddle with him though. I just keep him posed on top of Demolishor. Really hope I don't have problems like this though.

Two of my Scalpels upper leg joints have a crack, I'm going to (hopefully) fix this eventually with a bit of glue though so I don't have an issue with it.

Two of the sockets his legs connect to were broken on mine as soon as I got him. He still holds up pretty well so it's no big deal.

I have him, and fortunately all his legs are fine, but I did notice how weak they look, so I'm very careful every time I transform him. (Personally, I think grabbing his legs as near to the actual ball-and-socket as you can helps.)

Mine was fine, thankfully. I transformed mine once back and forth and now leave him on the shelf.

Neat idea for a figure actually, but the legs could've been handled better.

I really love the design and concept of Scalpel but due to the questionable durability of the legs, I've not bought one. Yet. ;)

1 leg on my ROTF Scalpel cracked right out of package, and another after I transformed him to his alt form. So he's staying in his alt form...forever

Yeah, ditto. Only issue I have is that I got the one with longer antennae and they're tougher to fit when he transforms.

I actually love the lil guy.

Mine's legs are all fine, and I transform him frequently. So maybe there was just a bad batch or something; it doesn't seem to be very common.

I actually decided to pass on pretty much all the Scout class figures because they have a really cheap feel IMO. I bought Ransack right off the bat, and even though he is a really great figure, I can't stand how cheap he feels. I think the Scouts are cool, but they are way overpriced.

You're missing out on some great figures, IMO, and I don't think Ransack feels cheap at all, unless you're comparing it to a Leader or Ultra class, which isn't really a fair comparison. As for them being overpriced... they're cheaper than seeing a movie, cheaper than dinner at Friday's, cheaper than a lot of stuff you would probably buy without thinking twice. I think they're a great deal.

I'm just comparing him to the fact that he fell apart the first time I took him out of the package. I'm not saying that I think any of the Scouts are bad, but I haven't had a very good experience with any of them. As far as price, I guess they are reasonable, but compared to the Deluxe prices I don't think they are the deal of the century. Just my opinion though.

Yeah, the price is a bit high in the scale of figures available. In Canada, the Scouts are $10 and Deluxes are $15 normally.

I do love figures like Ransack, though. The detail in general in the Scout class figures is exceptional, especially when I think back to G1 Minibots. The transformation process can be pretty satisfying, especially in Ransack's case.

I've wanted to get Ransack ever since seeing him in the graphic adaptation of ROTF, but seeing as how he's pegwarmer in my area, gonna cross my finger for a scout sale to pick him up. =P~
