Arlin has updated us with new information from his site, regarding Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Leader Class MEGATRON!

Yes Megatron seems to be back and is the 3rd of the 3 Leader Class toys after Optimus Prime and Jetfire.

Im still not sure about the alt mode. It seems very out of proportion to itself. Might partly be the angle of the photo too.

Why has Arlin covered the head of the toy in all pics but not the one on the front of the box? It even states Megatron many times. Why go to the trouble of putting the watermark right over the head? Oh, this also destroys the Galvatron rumor that has been going round too.

Yea that almost kind of sucks cause it would make sense since he was "killed" in the first movie that if he came back, he might not be completely the same. There still seems to be a lot of name issues though, I dont see how they can call the Audi Sideways when it has WAY too much similarity in design as Barricade. There has to be some story plot that has to go with that. Calling Megatron Galvatron wouldn't be a far stretch though [maybe to non-fans though]

That thing is just epic. I still got to pick up Premium Megatron from last year but I don't think I will now.....maybe. I hope Jetfire looks half as good as Prime and Megatron

It looks really nice and solid, it's just that right arm that bugs me because it looks so gimped.

Despite how much I like how this looks however, I sadly won't be buying it.

Heres what I can read about the bio of the box:

Hes cannibalized from other decepticons, he has some power from the allspark, ya'know, in his chest? It allso reads that he now has the power to destroy optimus prime and begin the conquest of the universe.

Is this the last march of Optimus Prime? I certainly hope not.

They did good on the wheel/leg things. Wonder why the head was bloched out though. Could be a spoiler perhaps?

I know this may not be strictly related or even the reply you were expecting for such a topic, but...Am I the only one getting a weird sense of deja vu from Megatron's new alt-mode? Hmmmm....You know what it looks like? The Rhino tank from Grand Theft Auto Vice City!

Okay, so it's not big, green and it doesn't have wheels, but the body shape's very much similar, at least to me...

I probably won't be getting the leader class version, I've only got a few movie figures and to be honest, I'd rather collect Universe (except maybe movie sideswipe)...If I see the legends version of this, I'll definitely get it though...would be fun to have it crushing Micro Machines on my desk like a GTA rampage. :lol:

rebuilt with parts cannabalized from other decepticons. megatron rises once again to lead his army. though the allspark destroyed him once, he can now feel it's power coursing through his circuitry. it calls him to seize his rightful place as ruler over the puny planet on which he was imprisoned and destroyed, and from which he will launch his conquest of the universe. optimus prime is all that stands between him and victory, and the autobot leader has done a poor job of hiding himself. at long last, megatron knows exactly where his enemy is, and he has power enough to destroy him.

Actually if you bulked up his arms, attach a BFG to his right arm, you would get the very awesome Megatron concept from Transtech!

That knocks the first movie Megatron into a cocked hat (whatever that is). Very tempted to buy this.

The whole wheel feet concept is getting a bit tiresome though.

I don't think I like it. The gangly left arm is too weird for me. I can't the character seriously. Plus the tank mode looks like he just balls up.

If I like the head/face design, then this is one of four ROTF figs. that I'll most likely pick up...
From the package photo, I'm not really a fan of the alt mode,
but the bot mode looks more than good enough so far.
