I was at target the other day, searching for the exclusive Arcee, when i came across Barricade. It was packaged in the rotf packaging, w/ the exception of the name and rank part of the packaging. (that was the dotm barricade packaging, the front read "barricade" and the back of the packaging read it "interrogater barricade") also, the probes that are supposed to come w/ it were missing. So this leads to my point. Is hasbro shipping left over rotf figures and selling them as dotm? has this happened to any of you, or was this a rare mishap?

Did it look like it had been opened because it sounds like somebody bought DOTM Barricade and wanted to take ROTF Barricade back in it's place to get their money back.
The packaging is a bit of a mystery. My guess is that since ROTF Barricade is bigger than DOTM Barricade, they used the ROTF package as the ROTF figure probably wouldn't fit back in the DOTM bubble. They switched out the name and rank card because I believe that's where the barcode is, on the bottom. That way the ROTF packaging would scan as DOTM packaging. Sounds like a aweful lot of trouble for a $10-12 deluxe.

Absolutely not, what the person did was insert the cutout from the DOTM figure and placed it in the box of the ROTF figure.
On top of that he didn't even include the complete figure (missing the probes). The do'er is pretty much pissing on a poor soul (more than likely a child) without the courtesy of calling it rain.

i ended up buying it, because the dotm version of barricade is so effing small. if whoever did this thought they were being clever by "tricking" us w/ the figure is an idiot. I got a rotf figure (thats bigger than its dotm incarnation) for a dollar less than what it should be! Ha!

ROTFarcee: you lucked out; well done! I've still got my TF1 Barricade w/ Frenzy. Wasn't too impressed w/ the ROTF version. SO glad I didn't get the DOTM version. Couldn't get over the smaller size and that fugly gold-ish pseudo-goatee they painted on the fig.
