Video Review - Fewture Transformers EX Gokin Grimlock TF-EX02
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Continuing a line of very well detailed but non-transformable licensed Transformers action figures, Fewture have recently release the EX Gokin Grimlock TX-EF02, successor to the Alpha Trion we saw a while back. Fellow Seibertronian chachipower is here once more to share a video review of it with us all - check it out embedded below!

Totally pointless. I could understand alpha trion, but this is really stupid. This gokin guy needs to throw in the towel.

Agreed. You can just get MP Grimlock and not compromise on having a transformer... you know, actually transform.

Gokin (alloy) refers to it's metal content. There is a segment of collectors, like me, that collect diecast Super Robots. Some of those collectors are also fans of Transformers, like me. However, Hasbro/Takara will not give licensing for transforming figures. This is why as soon as licensing for the character, minus transformation of course, was released you saw an explosion of non-transforming figures from companies trying to cash in on the Transformers 30th Anniversary and offer stuff like never before. For example, Kids Logic, Ultimetal Prime, Kotobukiya, Sentinel etc etc
While it's pointless for collectors who need their figures to transform, there are others who dont mind having a nice diecast version of their favorite characters. That's why these are low run figures. These weren't meant to scale with regular Transformers toys. These are in a class of their own and understandably misunderstood.
