RTS Tracks problems
I wana start off by saying i love this figure, and I cant wait until his retool of Wheeljack comes out. The fact they can get two unique figures from one mold is some pretty nifty engineering, but...
his stumpyness aside I have one real problem though, the damn thing is always falling forward! there is little to no friction keeping his ankle from folding into itself. did I transform him wrong?
or is this just a design flaw we have to deal w/ like jazz's chest not locking into place?

His feet can handle his weight. You just need to fiddle with them until they are in position.
The problem I have with him is trying to get his to transform without removing his shoulder guns. I'm beginning to think they are not supposed to fold into the car.

He stands fine but the slightest nudge topples him forward. that pin joint just isnt tight enough, it could have really benefited from something to lock it in place.
on a side note i covered his rub sign with a reprolabel autobot decal and he looks too legit to quit now

I used the superglue trick on Tracks' feet and ankles, works great. Just put a teeny bit of superglue on the ball joint and keep it moving until the glue dries. It will stiffen the joint, same for the pin joint at his ankle. The trick is to use only a tiny bit, and to keep the joint moving. Use at your own risk.

I usually do the nail polish trick but I am currently out, I might try the superglue on the pin though.
Doesnt superglue leave the plastic white and crusty after it dries?

If you are having problems transforming with the guns, it is because his arms aren't folded into the back of the car correctly. You have to spin the forearms the right direction.

They aren't. They're supposed to be removed and stored under the doors.

Think about this. Tracks toes will then be Wheeljack's heel so I think (just think) Wheeljack will have a better balance. Anyway, yes, a superglue or nail polish will fix the issue.

OR Wheeljack will just fall backward all the time!

This is true. The packaging picture says so too.
In my limited experience nail varnish is much better than superglue for ball-joints. My Tracks is loose at the hips, nail varnish fix methinks.

Never heard it called "nail varnish" before.
But yes, nail varnish should do the trick. Use it all the time on my Beast Wars figures (they need it).

For me, sometimes yes, sometimes no. Not sure what makes the difference, but blowing on it might help get the vapors away from the surrounding plastic. HTH.

One of my Tracks' feet is wayyyyyy looser than the other, which isn't all that tight itself. I really need to try this glue/polish thing, I just need to build up my nerve first.
It's too bad they put so many pins in TF's these days, if I could take the thing completely apart and just apply the glue/polish while it's apart, I'd be much more confident about it.
Oh well, price of progress, I suppose.

I'm glad my Tracks didn't have any QC issues. My only minor beef is the two shades of blue that Hasbro felt they needed to apply. Personally I like placing the guns/rockets onto the tail end than storing them under the doors, it gives it that G1 feel....'nuff said!
