Damn it! More G1 reissues. I already have all those (sans Dezaras) but I'm such a sucker for G1 reissues. Come to Butthead, huh, huh, huh...

Re: Rumor: Transformers G1 Toy Reissue?
It's cool that the Insecticons are getting a rerelease but given their relatively recent Bookbox release I wonder how they'll do. Predaking's always a good seller, and Trypticon is a nice figure though personally I'm not that interested. DarthSaunders is an interesting choice for a reissue that I'd probably pick up more out of curiousity than want. And as for...
...wait, what?
MINDWIPE!?!?
Holy crap, Takara were sitting on a usable Headmasters mold all this time and never told us?
I have a 1987 version of him in good condition but I'd buy this just to keep Takara travelling down this excellent path. Roll on all the other Headmasters!

I mean, this would be nice, but confirmation is always good.
I can only make out their Japanese names on the cards, nothing else. Still, if they really all get a re-release, I'm in big trouble. I can't choose! Dinosaurer, Deszaras or Predaking... Which one of my loves (base-bot, Japanese, Combiner) takes priority?

Are you sure it's Demolishor? I mean how would he fit in there? If you ask me it's G1 Triggerhappy, but it's hard to make out...

Sheesh... Fancy that: there's an original G1 Mindwipe waiting for me to pick him up from the post office right now... Just my luck: I finally find a good and reasonably well-priced one after a year of searching, and now we find out he's getting a re-release
Previous reissue Predaking I have already, as well as an original Bombshell, but all the rest of the reissues suit me just fine!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Star Saber and Victory Leo's toolings are long lost in a Hong Kong bay according to Hastak during a panel once. Unless they make new molds reissues are pretty much not going to happen.

Not to be a kill-joy on the Deathsaurus thing...
But the last time we were given a late G1 figure that "EVERYONE" wanted and would buy on the spot, OMG, FTW, etc....we got Star Convoy. We got a very excellent, very well re-made Star Convoy.
and no one bought it.
Nope. It went on clearance everywhere. Dropped to $30 in some places. The lofty, much beloved, much sought after Star Convoy.
I'm uncertain as to how Deathsaurus would sell with that in mind. After the 500 or so of us who both want and can afford the reissue have bought our one, perhaps two, then what?
Don't get me wrong, I very much want to own that toy. But it's not like the fans did all that well keeping up their end of the deal last time this ship hit our shores.

CP, the expert of putting a damper on everyone's excitement and extinguishing it for great justice
You do raise a good point though. Add the fact he's "evil" and he could he doomed from the very start. Remember, the Japanese don't necessarily like toys of "evil characters", look at Bandai's Super Sentai line compared with our Power Rangers.

Ah, well, my vintage MIB Dezanrus I paid over 400 for at Bot Con 2004 was special while it lasted. Now EVERYONE can have one for a fraction of the price. I'm glad for the folks who want him and will now be able to finally have one, but once again, this reissuing business has taken just a little more shine off my collection.

Deathsaurus...
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Must buy for me on Trypticon. Most likely purchase of Mindwipe and the Predacons, too.
