Samus. Tech's far more advanced. Her weaponry is energy-based and she can equip herself with multiple beams at once, she cannot be depleted of ammunition (unless she used the light or dark beams, which she wouldn't be 'cause they wouldn't hurt the Chief, or rockets). She has multiple visors, allowing her to adapt, superior jumping abilities and a grapple beam to help her traverse terrain. There's also her morphball mode and bombs to consider, which would allow her to use her surroundings to her maximum advantage and blow the chief to kingdom come. Her shields are also more resilient (using Halo 2 as a comparison), and even then she has multiple back-ups.
The Chief's bullets would probably just bounce off her armour, anyways...

Yeah, What He said, and I also think that the whole Halo Thing was influenced by Metroid.....Cause basically Metroid Came out way before Halo was even made....SAMUS ALL THE WAY!

Samus. More Agile, more versatile weaponry and equipment.
