That Bot wrote:Can we PLEASE get a better layout for the news archives? The point of cuts is to make it easy to find the articles I want to read, and then I can open that article and get my wall of text. When I scroll through the archives looking for something, I'm assaulted by every single article in full, which leads to me scrolling and scrolling and scrolling, trying to find what I was looking for. Every single other major website on the internet that features multiple pages of content will still hide the articles under linked headlines on page 2, 3, 4, etc so that you can skim through them to find something of particular interest. Just apply the frontpage cutting algorithm to every page that isn't page 1 and we're golden.

What buttons?

The only issue is trying to figure out if there is a flaw in phpbb or with a browser or a cookie issue on your computer. Not a widespread problem based on lack of responses from other people.

My best guess is the lack of the "hash" variable in the mark topic and sub forums read's button's URLs. It's present in the mark forums read button's URL—which works. Manually adding the "hash" variable in the non-working URLs makes them actually mark the appropriate topics and sub forums as read. Maybe give that a squint?

Burn wrote:Honestly, and I'm not being a prick about this, I'm thinking it's how you're using your phone.
Hear me out ... I don't use mine to browse the site often (I'm more often than not close to a computer) but the times I have I've had similar problems, not because of the site, nor my phone, but because my fingers were aiming to tap one thing but tapped another.
Burn wrote:Ryan is well aware that the site is not MOBILE (not just Android) friendly. It's not an easy fix though.
As far as double words go, I still feel the problem lies with either yourself or your device. Hence WHY others haven't commented as they're just not having the problems you are.
