Hey it's OptimalOptimus2. It's getting close to Thanksgiving, yes. Therefore, I should start a holiday discussion thread where we can discuss and gossip all about the holidays (Hanukkah, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, etc.) in one thread and not many. Now, I'll be the one to start the conversation:

So everyone likes turkey on Thanksgiving night. Everyone likes stuffed turkey on Thanksgiving night. Does anybody have any creative ideas for stuffing for a turkey besides dressing?

It's a holiday discussion thread. You don't have to talk about Thanksgiving. Besides, this holiday is an American tradition. I'm pretty sure Australia has traditional holidays that you celebrate.

Because it's clearly obvious that at this particular time of the year people will want to talk about Thanksgiving.

As I and many others who don't live in America don't celebrate Thanksgiving we therefore have to wait until another "holiday" rolls around before we can actively engage in discussion.

And I really feel sorry for the peace loving hippy atheists we may have on this site.
Plus I'm an arsehole that just loves giving you a hard time, all in jest, but people don't get that.

It's strange here in the UK. We dont celebrate thanksgiving (we have nothing to be thankful for) but we have taken on black Friday and cyber Monday...

Though it's not as strange as people who aren't American celebrating independence day here in the UK.

To be fair he seems to have gained a sense of humour in the past few years like when he honoured that Australian dj who had been on the air for a good while. I couldn't of seen the Charles of a few years ago doing that.

Not something you'd call ol Molly. Such was his reputation across the world Charlie had no problem sitting down for an interview, and poor Molly panicked. So many years later Charlie can still joke about it.

Does the weekend count as a holiday? 'cause you know ... one more day!

Sorry I couldn't remember the details I just know that Charles have a message to remember :lol:

The weekend should be classed as a lot of hard working people do get them off.

Though me and my family are gearing up for the big holiday. My eldest understands a lot more this year and it's great watching him as he stands in awe of the decorations. Though he is slightly scared of santa clause...

Brilliant idea! That way when you remove the turkey from the oven it'll have a nice brown runny ooze escaping from it!

As funny as it may seem The Netherlands actually have a certain form of Thanksgiving that's celebrated in the University City of Leiden. I'll have to look up the details, but a lot of pilgrims were from that city. :lol:

That doesn't mean I didn't have a Thanksgiving dinner, though, I have my American wife to thank for that. I'll have to ask her for the pictures of what she cooked up.

Officially, we're still in a different gift giving holiday until December 5th, after that Christmas shopping really starts. We're weird that way 8-}

Old as the Sega? What an odd thing to say. Saying as old as Nintendo would be more apt as they started up the 19th-early 20th century.

My decorations have been up for a week now and I saw some had theirs up on Halloween (which is a lil funny). I love this time of year, mainly because I'm greedy and my birthday is also this month
