In my opinion, Alpha Bravo is really the repaint because the head is obviously based on Vortex, regardless of which paint scheme was mass produced first. All it really needs is a rotor with Vortex's traditional 4 blade set-up. Also new arms without bright yellow missiles, but hopefully Takara will take care of that eyesore.

Im sure you saw it coming but now Im gonna ask you to verify the other 2 energon Bruticus Maximus components alt modes. The one passenger mini coptor and the truck missile launcher thing. Are they real ?

Stormcloud and Blackout are (rather loosely) based on the Cobra attack helicopter.

Barricade isn't based on a particular real-world vehicle but is rather a generic rocket launcher truck.

Yep. 94 bucks is too expensive. I have no interest in a CW Bruticus whatsoever because the FP Bruticus has everything i honestly need in the figure. This upgrade raised my interest with the height extension and chest plate and i would have bought it at the 50 dollar range.

But after exchange rate and shipping this set would jump into the $150 Canadian or more range.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive.

Normally I dont give a crap about the price. 100 bucks isn't gonna make me or break me. But I do plan getting both Takara and Hasbro Bruticus plus whatever upgrades Perfect Effect puts out, so this isnt a must have like the Maketoys Armageddon set was. This will stay on my radar for the inevitable clearance sale.

It's not so much not being able to afford it as it is respecting the value of a hard earned dollar and knowing when somebody is trying to fleece you out of that dollar. The asking price for this is unreasonable.

I too will patiently wait for a clearance price.

Yeah, doesn't help either that the set in question is almost completely unnecessary and fails to mend any of the flaws with the original set.

Now, if they were to sell a set with aesthetically identical but far stiffer shoulder modules, feet with (very tightly) ball jointed ankles and fold away wheels (and also a better way of attaching to Onslaught's shoulders), and a backpack that actually stayed on and didn't have wonky barrels I'd be all over it. As it stands though it's a monstrous pile of parts that makes the combined mode look worse, does nothing whatsoever for the individual figures and includes a pointless upgrade for Brawl that's outclassed by a one man effort on Shapeways.

What a niche set. I have the figures required for this upgrade, but even if CW/UW wasn't giving us amazing Brutici I'd still pass on it. There's literally nothing there I want. And what is up with that price?!

Going to announce my hypocrisy here. Wasn't interested, or so I thought, then I watched kumastyle's review. In color, all combined, I am impressed. The price still sucks & I think all the alt mode integration is garbage but I really like the combined mode. If I didn't know this was an add on kit to the FP set, you wouldn't be able to convince me it was just through final pictures. I may end up buying this.
