Indeed Cary. But as much as I like the hunt.... this type of hunt.. the "impossible why are you trying" kinda hunt that is the NES/SNES Classic... just ends up being soul crushingbodrock wrote:Excellent tale, Cary, complete with happy ending. And ya even got the wife to help = even better. My friend was trying to buy online as soon as it was announced but he was SOL (he got the NES Classic tho).
I can tell you love/hate the hunt too. It's better when you actually score something on your list, but it's the thrill and gamble too.![]()

I always try to put the vehicle parts forefront. The stock transformation for the limbs usually puts the vehicle parts underside up, which I find rather boringKurona wrote:That's a pretty interesting configuration for Bluestreak... I gotta try it out with Prowl

And another thing that's an option, is switching out the light Takara Titan Master arms with the dark Hasbro arms. Honestly I'm not sure which I like better

I've been on the hunt for random Scourges for this exact reason! He does look great with the Sweeps head, and the contrast in blues actually helps highlight his face, almost as if he's in a full armor suit and the light blue is his 'skin' color. Or something.
Got the Hasbro Asia Master Sword yesterday. It's suh-weet.

For a second, I thought you had stuffed TFSS Tarantulus' spider drones on him, and then I realized... that's just his chest.

I'm with Megatronus on this -- I like the blues on the Sweep-face! I've never bought multiple Scourges to fill the Sweeps' ranks, but this looks great.
I only bought multiple sharkticons cuz Legends-scale was perfect! As was the price.

The Pop Culture Fair is a gathering held at the Aviation Museum in Edmonton, and has vendors selling comics, toys, and all sorts of stuff. There was one today, which I went to at opening this morning (10am). I spent all my money after shockingly finding the NES and SNES Classic's you see pictured. Money gone and itching to game, I left pretty quickly.
Naturally I get home and start hooking stuff up. At first, everything works fine, but then the NES just starts randomly turning itself off. Well Google and Nintendo.com only have so many suggestions, and they say to phone in if nothing helps as repair/replacement might be the only options. After abut 20 minutes on the phone, I'm informed that both have counterfeit serial numbers! Needless to say, I got off the phone quick and headed back to the PCF.
When I got back, I asked for someone in charge, told him everything, said I'm not here to stir up **** but I wanted my money back. He was very helpful, and actually handled everything for me. The vendor basically didn't say anything besides "oh" and shuffled off to get me my money. I'm very thankful for the help, but damn.... you can't take anything for granted these days....
So I guess I'll never get an NES Classic (as it's discontinued), and probably never an SNES Classic either. Cause I'll never get one from anywhere other than brick and mortar now, which I'll never find. *sigh*

The wanker clearly knew what he was selling.
Good thing you took it home and hooked it up straight away. I wonder how many left it until the next day and weren't able to go back.

Oh, he knew. You can't sell multiple KO items and claim you have no knowledge of their crappiness. He only had a couple of each too, made it seem more plausible at the time. Shame on me I spose.Burn wrote:The wanker clearly knew what he was selling.shajaki wrote:The vendor basically didn't say anything besides "oh" and shuffled off to get me my money.
