One of the 6 Wal-Mart's in my area finally stocked PotPs today. I picked up the 3 master dudes, Optimus and Starscream. I passed on Rodimus as I want the "evil" version releasing later.

Haven't opened Prime yet, but man, is Starscream disappointing.

I'll be on the hunt tomorrow for Leader Optimus! Thank you for the pics and thoughts on him, Shaj -- he looks fun, and good for a poor man's MP10.

I will be getting Roddy as well, but perhaps next paycheck.

EDIT: ok, forget next paycheck -- Roddy looked too good to pass up!

Maketoys Bounceback. He's pretty awesome. (3P MP Stepper/Ricochet)

I tend to like the oddballs more than the regulars, so I automatically like him better than Jazz lol. He's a great figure overall and fits in well the the official. Only complaint is transforming the legs, what a pain. And once transformed, they're not solid. There's parts that rely on friction instead of tabs, though to it's credit the friction strength is great. Tabs woulda been better is all.

Anyways, if you like MP Artfire as much as I did then you kinda owe it to yourself to get this guy. They're an awesome pair.

Kingston wasn't as impressed as me :lol:

Also, you open Sunny yet? I'm curious how you feel compared to Surgio.

I do, but didn't handle him much besides transforming him once and slappin him on the shelf. I kinda forgot about him honestly :lol:

MP SS is a $#@!ing work of art. He defies expectations and is beyond description. The sheer amount of moving parts he has is astounding. He essentially has 3 modes: Robot, Countache, and the fictional "super tuned" Countache. Their workaround to get this figure made was brilliant. The transformation, while difficult, was not as much of a pain as Surgio, and I was able to figure out on my own. It was fun! Robot mode is nothing short of stunning, posable and amazingly proportioned. And that head sculpt. Even though I like the cartoon accurate direction of the line, I did not like his head when it was revealed. In hand, it-is-PERFECT. I can't get over it, he literally blows my mind. Best MP to date, hands down. :BOWDOWN:

One thing though. His little gun that folds away into his leg, snapped in half when I tried to fold it up. I'm actually pretty upset about that. I'm trying not to let is sour the overall experience.

Actually, no hand missiles. The 3P Sunsurge does, but not the official. But he does have a bigger silver gun. The small gun is supposed to fold up and fit in his leg... which must be a G1 cartoon thing, but I don't ever recall it :-?

And I could just glue it together easily enough, but it'd obviously never be able to hide away in his leg like it's supposed to. Anyways, here's some pics of my own!

Man! That Sunstreaker DOES look so damn nice!

From your photos I can kinda see that his head isn't as bad as I thought.
But, I'm still willing to wait it out and see if a more Diacloney version comes along.
I will have that mold. Just not yet.

This will be the hard part. I'd bet they will do red first, but I'd REALLY like to have the police deco.
It will be a challenge to wait with red taunting me.

Dude. Bro... I... ugh.. I hear your plight, I really do, but I just don't want to see you wait 5 years to get the exact thing you want.

I guarantee they make a Redstreaker, and probably a Narcstreaker too, but it'll be in that order and probably a year or two apart. Wait it out for Red, but I highly recommend you don't wait longer than that.

And if all goes according to plan, you love him so much you get Narcstreaker too anyways :-P

I don't remember the hidden gun for 'Streaker either, but that's just cool. I love the figure -- I might need one, too. ;p

The only incarnation I have at the moment is from CW. The CHUGs could never look as sweet as MPs, needless to say. No idea why, but my favorite thing on MP Sunstreaker are his legs -- they look really dynamic and fun to pose/transform!

Not sure what you mean. 3P as in Apolyon or Despotron? Or 3P as in KO?

Either way, I can't answer that for you. Based purely on looks I'd say go official MP-36, but if the reissue didn't fix the paint chipping problem then that's a tough pill to swallow. If it's possible to wait for in hand reviews, then I'd wait for confirmation that he's worth it. Otherwise research the multiple KO's and choose one. :-?

I was thinking official MP or that Weijiang OS Megatron, Shaj....I think I may wait a bit for reviews on the second version of the MP, and reviews on dat OS. The OS is on my list simply because I have the Optimus to match!
