The mailman left me a notice of the Dinopackage, and I picked it up this morning on my way to work. It was a slow afternoon so I busted him open at my desk!

So. I don't see how it can be done any better. And to address the fragility, I think he'll be fine so long as he's not hamfisted. He looks PERFECT in bot mode, and near perfect in beast mode. The beast mode faults I'm willing to let slide because of his raptor head. It is incredibly expressive, in hand I didn't think I'd be this impressed.

However, the isn't the most impressive MP (engineering-wise). He basically just flips inside out all explody-like, and it's been done. I still find the Inferno and Sunstreaker molds to be more groundbreaking. But he's still jaw dropping 8-}

He's as awe-inspiring as I had hoped, seeing him there in your pics, Shaj! He looks perfect, really. And I just know Megz will too.

As good as he is, I have even HIGHER hopes for Megs. Dinobot has a few nitpicky issues, but Megs looks flawless :shock:

Very cool Shaj. In a way, I'm glad I'm not attached to Beast Wars so I don't have to buy the expensive figures! BUT, I do like how he looks, and I think it is very true to the model. And he did explode in transformation anyway, right?!

Those were the awesome!! It's amazing what the Takara team will do to make something similar to the animation, however crazy it is.

Well to be 100% animation acurate, Dinoboi would need to part form pretty seriously. I saw how those arms and dino head just magically floated where they belonged :-P

I did enjoy how Rhinox just puked himself out though, that was awesome!

In my opinion, the worst offender for impossible BW transformations is Terrorsaur. In his bot mode there is SO much exposed robot and so little lizardbird kibble that it gives me a headache :lol:

So I got some stuff... kinda out of left field. From a nice old lady on Kijiji, G1 Joyride, Skullgrin, and Scowl!

Then the mailman brought me uhh... (forget his fake name) a 3P Machine Wars Optimus Prime! Why? The Botcon Machine Wars set is among my favorites, and there was no Prime. This fella fixes that!

Uhhh..I’ve never seen that 3P MW OP?!?! How?! He looks REALLY nice!! MW OP os one of those figures I keep thinking about tracking down, as Thunderclash that he’s based on will eventually crumble to nothing, so no reason for me to get that!!

It's an MMC mold made for (I think) IDW Thunderclash. Repainted as a Con exclusive into the beaut I now possess :KREMZEEK:

Do you have any of the other li'l monsters, Shaj? I have none of them, unfortunately-- but I wouldn't want a remake of them, oddly enough -- the G1 incarnations are perfect.

Skullgrin was the only Pretender I had as a kid, so this was pure nostalgia. Only I totally goofed and didn't realize he was missing his sword, so now I gotta hunt that down.

The other lil fella is my first Monstructor piece. And I knew he was small, but DAMN he's small :lol:
