So. I've been out of sorts lately. Just thinking. Overthinking. Mainly about how I've been underthinking my collecting thus far. Because all I seem to do is acquire. I keep saying "once I get the space" or "once I get more shelves" but.... am I ever going to do that? Maybe this is way to heavy thinking for the moment. I'm not exactly at the quit or keep going crossroads yet.

Although another not so light topic, my hauls, and the posting of such things. I get the feeling that maybe some people are tired of seeing them? I just want to say that I'm not doing it to gloat, it's just that even among my RL friends I don't really have anyone to share this with. Sure they're nerdy types with a passing fancy who'll listen to me, but that's about as far as it goes. So yeah. Without you guys I'm just talking to myself :lol:

It's always good to see what other fans are picking up, and there is never any tiring of new images and hauls - I live my collecting habits by proxy, so the collector and image threads are where I get my fix!

I never get tired of seeing your hauls, and there's rarely a post where I'm like, well that doesn't look like any fun at all.

For example: Lazer Magnus up there. Holy scrap! I didn't even know he existed!
He's DOPE!

All haul posts are mildly braggadocious. It's their nature.
But it's only really fun to brag to those who know something about what your bragging about.

I do think you need some shelves. I've been saying that since I met you.

So what does everyone think of POTP Leader Prime? Lots of new pics... many of them not flattering. To me he's only goof for his Orion Pax mode. Which is stunning by the way. But the rest... is really odd. He looks likes something between a mess, and MP-1 (if that makes any sense).

I'm completely on board with Roddy though

I was just talking about the new leaders and their evolve gimmick.

As a toy I think they're fantastic and have a really cool and inventive play pattern that makes perfect sense in fiction. They look like a lot of fun.

As a collector they really don't fit the bill. OP in his evolved form looks like a less expensive version of the MP, but one that's designed to be played with. And here lies my problem; I don't need or want another big Prime of that aesthetic on my shelves, but I'll welcome that and almost any other Orion Pax figure. Rodimus however is on the exact opposite side of the spectrum. I don't want/need any more deluxe class Hot Rodimi, but I wouldn't mind a leader/MP sized one.

At full retail price I think I'll skip both, but money talks and bullshit walks.

Cary pretty much nailed it.

After seeing more of MP-10-but-playable, I am certainly less impressed by his alt mode. But I really want that Orion Pax, and I don't have a Leader scale MP10 (only OS KO MPP10). He's also $110 cheaper...

I plan on holding out for Rodimus Unicronus, so plan on skipping Roddy. He does the G1 look well, and if I see him and he looks better in-hand, who knows. I wish I hadn't just picked him up as a Headmaster now, though.

I'd like to think they'll end up at Ross sooner or later -- then it'd be a no-brainer.

I have a similar sentiment to all of you. Unlike with Titans Return (TR), I dont think I will be getting all these leader toys. Even when TR was starting, I didnt need a big optimus toy since I already had MP 10 and a bunch of Optimus Leaders from previous lines. But I found TR PMOP for $20 and could not say no to that kind of deal. If the same thing occurs, then this Optimus could be in my collection some day too (I would only want him for Orion) but if not then I dont mind skipping out on him. I dont really like anything about him aside from Orion Pax at the front. Here are other shots to show where I am coming from:

Roddy looks great AND like buckets of fun. Prime however looks like such a mess (IMO of course) that the Pax mode is the only part that's solid. I will buy him solely for that, but my expectations are low.

I was actually gong to reach out to some you a couple weeks ago but it slip my mind. Best Buy (US) has an exclusive Steelbook for the first 5 Spiderman movies on 4K. They were in stock online, but are now half price and only available in store.

Has anyone seen them? Let me know if you can help a brother out

My bff and I were talking about robo-facial hair the other day -- he doesn't think it makes sense. I think it's cool, obviously -- and hey, if they're artificial life forms that are humanoid in shape, why wouldn't they replicate a sagely look?

I try and take my figures as a whole, normally the positives outweigh the negatives. Enjoy them for what they are, not for what they are lacking

Space is fleeting, but plastic is forever my friend. I had to make some decisions with some stuff lately too, so I feel ya.

As for PotP Prime, I am less certain on him now. I will get both Rods and Primal, but I may wait for Prime. The new pics do not flatter him at all

Beards. I'd grow one, but can't cause of work. I can (and do) rock a goatee though.

Robobeards... I never took issue with them. I see it as no different that a human wearing a hat or a watch. S'just an accessory to help individualize.
