Paying right away, I get. But most of the time, a pre-order pops up when I can't pay up and I'm no gambler. Admittedly, the only pre-orders the disappear fast are TAV for some reason. I could probably wait on most others, but it churns my stomach.
Where do you get all the Hasbro SKU's?

QC is just the nature of the 3P beast sadly. And I'm there with ya, I bought one PX Dino (Swoop) and no others, ultimately choosing FP's Diaclone Dino's. And I don't think I'd have finished my Throttler if it weren't for that killer Kijiji deal. As for the Platinums, they were one of the rare things I showed restraint on. I didn't buy my Insecticons or Laser Prime until the price was reasonable! And aside from dipping into 3P MP's, my 3P purchases have almost slowed to a crawl.

I really want TW's new Devs too. I have UW, and the grand pappy of 3P combiners, Hercules. My UW will remain in my MP display indeffinitly, my Herc (who I'm still happy with) will also remain with my CW/UW display. I have ZERO use for TW's, but man do I ever have the wants. I understand you about the hesitation though. I felt that way about Quakewave, but then he was reissued, THEN trumped by the real deal! So one way or another, things work out I think

And I get my hasbro SKUs from TRU.ca. They usually list the product online as a listing with no current availability before it shows up in stores

Its the same SKU for all figures of the same class within a line. So even if Shockwave was never listed, I knew the SKU for Powerglide (or Thundercracker) and used that. And as for all the G2s and Victorion and the Platinums, they were online before in store.

Y'know what? I'm actually pretty surprised how much I don't hate Scatternot. Torso is still a joke, but the rest is pretty nice and makes me look forward to the two proper Computron's being released!

Yes, no, sorta? I tend to pick up stuff at random when when it goes on sale. I have growing PoL/stacks at bbts and TFs. With my limited budget sometimes I blow my wad as something cool comes out. Japanese imports just don't work for me because I never have the funds when the pre-orders are available. So I have to pay the "when it's convenient tax" .

Just got home from Apocalypse.

Even with the consistent greatness that is Marvel Studios and the Avengers franchise, I think my favorite super hero movie is First Class. And while the next installment (Days of Future Past) was great, it felt like it was simply a means to an end. However the Quicksilver scene it had was one of the greatest single scenes I've EVER witnessed in a movie.

So where do I stand on Apocalypse? I really feel that they recaptured the magic from First Class, and expanded on it. It had an incredible amount of heart to it, much like FC, and was just.... wow. No spoilers. Just go see it

First Class was my favorite movie, so hopefully this one won't disappoint!

Hasbro Devastator was MSRPd at $179.99 (like the SDCC version AND SDCC Fort Max!!), I think I paid around $120 for mine at TRU after coupon/rewards.
