Collecting TFs at 16 isn't considered cool outside of the fandom so if you do collect them, keep it under your hat! I'm old enough to be considered slightly eccentric for my collection and to be honest I don't look like the kind of person you'd want to piss off anyway so people aren't rude to me often.

If you're thinking about taking up an extra-curricular activity chose something that would make you cooler. Maybe you're not built for playing sport but how about dancing? Try and find a modern partner dance like Ceroc, Salsa, Kizomba (ballroom dancing will be full of old people). When you dance up close with someone of the opposite sex only a moron could accuse you of doing something 'gay'. There are usually loads of nice ladies who appreciate a man who can lead properly at those places and there are normally too few men!

Car first, Optimus later. C'mon, it's not like he's exactly RARE or anything.

This is true. Plus chicks do dig a guy with a car.
Prime will always be out there, if not the MP version, maybe a way better version.

How 'bout I just kill two birds with one stone and buy the Barricade Saleen S281? Just kidding! Well I'm getting mixed answers about MP Prime so I'm not quite sure if he's going to be "retired" so that he'll be mostly be bought up before his price skyrockets (toywiz.com already has a head start on that), or if the many releases of him will stay steady and plentiful.
As for the car, I really don't think I'll be buying an extreme junker unless it turns itself into a brand-new Camaro after it defeats my uncle's Mustang and after my girlfriend insults it, so extra maintenance won't be a hassle, and I won't be buying a new Camaro (would be sweet though) or anything fancy, but just something practical. The only extra expenses besides gas would be the custom these: :BOT: . No seriously, they're actually quite popular around here.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

At the same time, he doesn't ahve to be there now. Save that money for college. Use your degree to get a nice, high-paying job. Then spend your tons of money on Transformers.

THIS.

Since working, I've been buying a new deluxe figure at walmart or rare-expensive TF on ebay every week.

Wow. Pretty impressive. The ideal job for me would be to work for Hasbro. Then I could have all the TFs I want. Plus I could probably come up with some good ideas for things people actually want to buy.

MP Prime really is one of the best TFs ever made, but a car is more practical and useful, and expensive. Both are big upfront expenses, but car repairs and all that, those are the gifts that keep on spending your money for you.
I don't know, I may be the only one to say this, but I'd get MP Prime. I didn't have a car until I was 22 and I've turned out alright. All I mean by that is that you don't really "NEED" a car at or by any certain age.
