IT IS FROM A TOYS R US IN SINGAPORE!!!!!!

Not US, not UK. So please everyone, calm down. This exact same sign is being discussed in rebelscum.com's 30th Anniversary Collection forum (a Star Wars forum in case you didn't know). It is not going to happen in the US, so please don't panic.

The "traders" they refer to, BTW, is a polite way of saying "scalper".

I am going to quote this again so people will read it.

Darn. And here I thought we were on the verge of the toy-collecting apocalypse. I was all ready to start stockpiling figures in my hidden bunker. Guess now I’ll have to just fill it with food and water in case of a real crisis.

Like a second Bay-directed movie?

And so what if this is a sign in Singapore? Should we stop discussing it because it's not happening in the west?

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

Well, it certainly sounds like most of you guys aren't for it, so I suppose the thought was that since it ain't happening where you are, why fret over it? If anything I'm glad it's happening here. For too long we had the third condition (no exchange or refund) and it's about time we had the first two too. I'm just waiting to hear back from the branch manager I spoke to about getting the signs up all over the island.

I must say i felt a bit stupid when I read that it was a sign in Singapore. Imagine if he'd told me "It's a sign in our Singapore stores, you ignoramus!"

No, a real crisis would be John Woo directing TF2.

Most definitely. They'd be killing decepticons by throwing water on them.

Weapon: Plasma Beam Rifle
Well, I've been to 2 TRU'S and there's no sign like that here in NY/NJ, so I guess it not here. But Targets do have a sign like that. I seen a sign with some of the same wording. But they dont honor it tho. :???:

I am honestly not surprised by it being a Singapore TRU 'exclusive' ebay.au is full of sellers from Singapore trying to flog the movie figures.

So the ideal thing you can do for us is, if you must buy from scalpers, don't give our Singaporean b-ds the business! At our cost price plus shipping to you, you're better off buying from local scalpers. Remember... Buy American! :D
