(This post is to make sure this thread makes it up. Next one will have pics, lol.)

I demand pics.

First up: Custom wittle pistol! This is not yet painted, but I plan to paint it fully black.



This one is made up of little bits from a T30 Armada Starscream sword, and the missile belonging to AoE High Octane Bumblebee. (Which is now a custom TF called "Beetle". Though, that needs some paint repair before posting new pics here.)



Reason there is already a bit of black on the handle is because it was previously on ANOTHER custom gun I made that I liked at the time, but I had made the mistake of using hot glue. So, it started to look ugly after a while, and was a bit fragile. THIS however and my other custom weapons will be done with model glue, which bonds the plastics better. AND it looks way better.



I intend to use this for the time being on Beetle after I paint it. Whenever. But I'm hoping I can get a The Last Knight deluxe Hot Rod sometime, cuz I sorta made this with the thought of giving that figure this since he has no weapons, and RODDY NEEDS GUNZ!

Omg, ingredients: 1 BIG gun from a knockoff Armada Megatron, the other T30 Armada Starscream sword, AND lotsa love.



The images really just say it all. It's epic. It's got a sharpened Starscream sword for a bayonet, AND any Transformer can hold it. Gonna take pics maybe tomorrow though of TFs holding these because the glue isn't fully cured yet.



Really, this is like a wreck n rule kinda instrument of destruction right here. Gonna look EPIC when painted! I wanna mix black and a bit of silver together to get sort of a gunmetal gray color. Maybe I'll also try leaving the bayonet partially amber to keep that heating up blade effect.



You guys agree? I think this came out perfectly! SOOOO looking forward to painting it and trying it out in little TF hands!

And for a small mod, I sanded down the insides of Cybertron Clocker's shoulders so he can move his arms more freely. Works better methinks! Loved this little guy to begin with, but he now has fully working shoulders!

Had to reglue the biggun a bit because the handle broke off when it wasn't cured enough. Trying to make sure it glues all the way. Bare with me plz! I'll post pics as soon as I can. It looks pretty much the same, but yeah. Just trying to improve durability.

So far pretty cool.... the pistol looks wimpy, the BFG looks awesome

Get a small nail, may have to trim it down.
Drill a hole into the handle and also into the gun.
Put small nail into hole in handle.
Put other end of nail into gun.

It'll give you a bit more stability than just glue.

Thanks Burn! If it proves to still be unreliable after my multiple applications of glue already applied and drying I'll definitely take it to the next level. I want this BFG to work! The small pistol seems to work pretty well though since the plastics have sort of welded together. The plastic on the BFG though seems to be less pliable and I might need to do something of the sort.

Lol the pistol is kinda just meant to be sort of a hidden gun kinda like a boot gun. But I think it'd look better when painted black. They always do.

Seems to be holding together alright right now. Maybe a couple paint coats will help as well.

Another alternative is to make sure the peg is long enough so that you can drill into the gun and insert part of the peg inside it.

I'd listen to Burn here, I had experience in repairing TF gun handles and Glue alone won't cut it,

Yeah I know it won't. I'm more just concerned about trying to rip it off. I'll try though.

The small gun should be dandy though because those types of plastic weld very nicely. The biggun has that shardy shiny plastic though that's kinda hard to glue. And it breaks easily too.

It's also a matter of trying to figure out how to drill a tiny transparent plastic piece without damaging it or my fingers.

Now this I can really help you with!

Finger tip drills! Primarily they're used for cleaning the tips of welding guns, so you'll find them in an industrial hardware store. Great little things to have. Won't damage the plastic, and if it damages your fingers, then you should probably stay away from sharp objects entirely.

Oh? What is this magic I have never heard of? Off to Home Depot with me I suppose! Thanks for the help! I'll comment here again if I have any more issues I need help with for this customizing thing.

Also I am nit getting notifications for this thread in my view your posts page for some reason. I gotta check the kitbashing section for it. Hope that fixes soon.

Sorry I haven't been doing much here. I am still doing stuff, but just haven't been motivated to take pictures. Just been having a lot of... personal challenges. So, you know. More doing this stuff as a remedy rather than a hobby.

Don't know what your personal stuff is, but push through it to take the pictures. It'll give you a (somewhat simple) goal to aim for. Plus you can then come back to people saying nice things about you and a little bit of snark from me.

Little goals, they help you distract you from crap in life, even if only for a little while.

I guess it does help. As long as I'm not ruining something, lol. Guess that's the life of a toy customizer.

...well, technically I'm not a "Toy customizer", but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!

Been doing work on Springer. Please excuse the less than half done paint work. Talking about cutting and sanding parts right now.





Removed the panels covering the shoulder wheels, and sanded the hinges of the yellow shoulder "wings" so they fold down all the way. Plus fiddles with the gun and attach-ability for funsies.

Also with those pieces modded or removed, he has a kickin chopper mode now.



Oh yeah, and I cut the real wings on his forearms a tad so the helecopter blades could spin. Woohoo.

Edit: oh and I'm gonna take a photo of his car mode without those panels soon as well. I'm gonna sand parts of the inside of the canopy though so that it lays flat finally for car mode, and doesn't look like it's coming home from a top bursting mall trip.

You can have a photo of me with a gray filter to hide my orange face though because why not.

I was going after an over the top goofy math teacher look.

Oh yeah, I was using a black gundam liner pen, but it got frayed and messed up. So I had to switch out the tip with the one on my gray marker (which is essentially just a diluted black ink). Black is more useful to me so I decided to do that. So far it's only gray ink, but it should start being black after a bit.

So ignoring previous strangeness and selfie stupidity...

Back to progress shots?

I now have a new backdrop setup and new camera, so better images are destined to ensue!

Titans Return Quake is a figure I have gotten recently (which I absolutely love), along with RiD Soundwave, and TR Triggerhappy. I have been working on panel lining my Transformers in preparation for a new photocomic I'm planning on (with fingers crossed).

Here's a couple shots of Quake's head specifically to show what I'm kinda going for. You guys think he looks meaner and less kiddish than his out of box look?





For reference, here's an image (not mine) of Quake right out of the box:



Quake, along with Soundwave and Triggerhappy, are gonna be the main threesome of this comic. Quake is meant to be the rough and tough guy, with Soundwave as the brains, and Triggerhappy as the crazy and comedic one of the bunch. With those personalities in mind, my goal is to make their toy looks resemble that. Might post some shots of Soundwave soon as well. Triggs though is... well... he needs some repair. At least his face is the only one I have ruined so far.
