I think many people in the board know him. Anyway as Mach said eHobby Base is pretty good place to find recently released and up to 3 years ago figures. Around the same area i.e. Mong Kok/Yau Ma Tei, you should go to Inn's Point if you want to find G1 figures (and some of the recent ones as well).

By the way, it can be pretty difficult to find eHobby Base. The first time I tried to locate it, I went to the second floor of the building (lots of comic shops) and pressed a lift button and it never came!!! Basically you will only be able to access it if you take the lift from the ground floor.

Also, if you are willing to be more adventurous, you can look at Hong Kong's Yahoo Auction and buy things from there and just meet the sellers. And finally if you know robotkingdom, they are located in Hong Kong as well. I've bought some things from them online when I was there and they were happy to arrange meetups with no extra cost. I think last time i met their courier at Jordan MTR to pick up my stuff.

Lost in the convo here...all this UBER AWESOME G1 talk is making me feeling sheepish.

While I applaud Takara Tomy's engineering, I'm starting to get jaded with the choices they've made in terms of characters to make a Masterpiece from. The Seekers were a no-brainer. Optimus and Megs were definites and Grimlock, though undersized was a pleasant design.

Hot Rod/imus was a wrench in the gears but I think he needed a companion/nemesis piece before HasTak decided to essentially reboot the MP line with a new Optimus which will lead to about 4 different repaints.

Give us Soundwave, give us BumbleBee or Cliffjumper. Gives us some variety HasTak! The 3rd Party guys are eating into your market!

I just picked up MP 09 today. Thanks for the tip on identifying the second release, I used that to verify that I was indeed getting the second edition. Honestly speaking, after looking at the photographs on the elbow difference, I couldn't tell what's different between them , however I am optimistic that mine is Takara's because there's no floppiness, etc as reported by many people. This figure is just gorgeous. I'll wait till weekend to transform him.

Also I agree with the sentiments already echoed by many people. Please stop with the Primes, I want Soundwave or Galvatron.

Well, we seem to be in the midst of another financial crisis so the US dollar is going up like crazy. Over a fifteen day period, it's shot up from 1.2 SGD to 1.3+ SGD.

If Europe ever goes bankrupt, then everyone better hope that whatever figures they want is produced very soon, because we may see the days where 1 USD = 2 SGD or even more.

Good for you, I think most would agree that the one on the right is superior.

I haven't taken a close look, but I think the one on the left is made up of 2 parts: the black thing that connects the lower arm to the upper arm, and the red thing that covers the black thing. The red thing doesn't lock in place, so it has a tendency to just flap around, which can impede poseability.

Anyway, moving on to other topics, does anyone know of any shops that import the Takara Ez Collection figures? I'm hoping to get these:
