Was actually disappointed that I couldn't get more Prime figures especially Arcee... I thought HK was like the toy hub in SE Asia so there will be quite a wide range of transformers but when I went to "Toys Area", it was really nothing special. Though if you like anime and vintage stuffs, theres quite a lot over there.. The prime figures were gotten from ToyRus too.

Maybe the next time would be better.

Funny, I just got back from a week in Japan and all i managed to get for a "reasonable" price was a Henkei Inferno and United Laser Prime. TF Prime toys? Not there yet, not even at TRU, but that's probably expected since they'll probably stock Takara's. Tokyo was just dismal from Transformers point of view. Osaka was a lot better but nothing to write home about either.

My experience in HK when it comes to TFs is that usually it is not really that significantly cheaper than in Singapore. After factoring in the hassle of carrying in back, it may not be worth it. Good thing is their stocks are faster than us e.g. Transformers Prime and retail price is generally cheaper than ours. But then, it seems that TFs are also getting hot in HK so things run out pretty fast e.g. Prime, Generations and United stuff.

That's where I got my information from. In any case I went to In's point and Sino Centre only due to lack of time, have to say hardly any transformers (current ones), I think our CSC got more.

There is definitely a lot of vintage, G1 transformers, legos and anime toys though if that's what you like. I think your best bet is hobby base, also take note that the shops opens at 3-4pm; I went there too early and hate to wait for 2 hours before they open.

And yes their retails' are cheaper than us; around 5SGD difference.

OH, Ok, TNKS... I went to those places too when i went to HK in 2008. Back then there were loads of TFs at really cheap prices. I remember getting Henkei BB/Bluestreak for under $20 ...

Hope i find decent stuff there... Guess im getting TFP figs from TFU and hopefuly RTS perceptor/ older henkei stuff from the collector shops.

Haha yea, if not later even if you want to regret, you won't get a chance.

I think that ship has come and gone. I'm just glad I've added a Rodimus to my collection. A Protector would be nice but I'm not sure if I can accept the asking price for that set these days.

I display rodimus as it is... It actually looks more accurate (besides scale) to G1 as compared to in protector armor.

I wasn't planning to get Encore Devastator but today impulse buy and bought one. I've just realized Mixmaster's head is missing. I am guessing hobby stores in Singapore don't do any exchanges or is it each store has a different policy?

Of course they do, just go back and exchange it. You paid for it anyways and have the right to the full product.

Missing Mixmaster head from Encore Devy seems to be a common recurring QC problem for this release.
