Hi, so I've always found Skids' very limited appearance in the original cartoon kind of odd. Is there a real world reason behind his skimpy facetime?

Not that I know of. I always thought it was because of there being too large of a cast for him to get any arc or screentime. They probably just threw him in there to sell the toy.

The G1 figure for Skids was always shortpacked 1 figure to every 2 cases back in 84/85.

Maybe it was decided to give the more easily obtained characters more screen time instead of a figure who would be hard to track down? That being said, I thought he was a cool character with a great bio.

This is just a stab in the dark. I have no idea of the real reason, if there even is one.

He got one line or something, didn't he? Could be tht his toy was shortpacked and his character was, for lack of a better term, a nobody.
At least he made an appearance, poor Hubcap, he got zilch.
