Officially, I believe he was $200 retail.
A lot of sets were on eBay for $150, but had the $75 shipping BS alonside them.
I bought mine from a local store for $250, but was like a month late getting him so prices were already creeping.

What do you mean it's been done?? I was refering to redoing him like Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, Grimlock, etc in the Classics line...that looks like a Scourge repaint (not that I can read Japanese). And might I add...DAMN, thatpics is huge!! It did even fit on my widescreen monitor.
So to clarify, I was remarking about a TOTAL redesign for Classics, not some weak repaint. Once again, I am happy for all the Lynx fans out there, Im just not a fan, not even when I was a kid.

Originally each g1 predacon figure went for 15 bucks each. There were 5. Buying all five in the 80's would cost 75 bucks plus tax. The whole set wasn't sold here. So they had to be bought separately. Predaking was the second most expensive figure. Fortress Maximus being the first going for $89.99 in the 80's. The Predaking set reissued back in 2004 in most places went for $169.99 But there were five figures in the box ,and the figures had some diecast.
Skylynx went for $39.99 bucks like Omega Supreme. Trypticon went for $49.99. That was in the eighties. I think Skylynx will be more affordable than Predaking even as a reissue. Since he's two transformable figures that can combine with no diecast. Though he is motorize. But I think he'll go for either 90 dollars or a 100 dollars as a reissue.

Keep in mind the Autobots couldn't fly like the decpeticons. So of course they needed more flying transportation.
From season 1 til 2 the decepticons had the Space bridge on earth. Season 3 they had the mother ship given by Unicron to Galvatron and his new minions in the movie. They had Astrotrain. I've seen Blastoff carry Soundwave ,and Runnamuck in season 3 as well.

Oh Hell Yeah!!!!!!! However... on a side note.... how many Transports did the Autobots have?

Sky-Lynx never made it to the UK, so this'll be the first time I've had a chance to get him, that and hopefully this'll show Tak/Tomy there's still a good market for these things.

I think there are so many better choices for reissue they could have made, but ahh well, thye chose Skylynx. He's combined mode is a bit ugly and disproportionate, his bottem half is nigh on fugly in all its modes, and the charecter dosnt exactly have a large fanbase.
If he's cheap enough, I'll get him, but Im not gonna pay a masive amount for him.

Wow, I always thought Skylynx was a great little toy and was tons of fun to play with. He was also a fun character and was one of the few who was well fleshed out in the cartoon. Not too mention, he kicked Predaking's ass all over the place. 
I never would have guessed he had so many haters.
Though I have an original, I think this is a solid idea for a reissue as I am sure many people have a very hard time finding one that works, and his walking action is easily one of the most fun gimmicks from G1.

The G1 Jetfire license is owned by the Gundam people I believe. Not sure if they will ever give out the rights again to their Valkerie model. My feeling is that Omega Supreme and Shockwave would be easier to get the rights for than Jetfire.

I agree. Bandai owns the Robotech stuff and it's still going stronf on it's own...why add fuel to a rivals fire. Omega Supreme and Shockwave were from some other lines from other toy companys. Those companies may even be defunct by now, so someone would benefit from their rerelease.
I'm still not amazed by the reissue of Sky Lynx...It's just a big hunk of plastic that walks...no diecast, not to mention it's got the worst bot mode I've ever seen. God knows I even remember as a kid HATING the fact he got SO MUCH screen time...It's like Hasbro was begging us to buy him. I figure he'll be between $100-200 when he comes out...I'd rather invest that kind of money in an Omega Supreme or Metroplex. That's just me though
