I don't see anything special about it. The green one is nicer than the red one. The red one looks like a red ball.

The red one is the prototype, thats why it's special.

The first few to get it will severely overpay for it. Wait a few weeks and the protos will sell next for nothing.
Yeah but as long as were not paying for them =)

It's still one of the first versions of the toy to be released, and it was made before the figure went into mass production.
I'd say that still warrants it to be fairly special.

I still think he is just a fat blob of plastic that will trip over just about anything with those legs. He makes Fatimus Prime look like a slim jim.

QFT.
I like that they've given them differing physiques. It's not like they don't realise he looks fat and has stubby legs. It's deliberate. Makes for more distinctive characters.

Sure beats having a huge torso and arms and having chicken legs like a certain movie mold.

Pretty cool,
but why is the first animated toy people get their hands on is the one I'm least looking forward to?

Yet, that too was deliberate, and poor Voyager SS gets hate for it. Talk about double standards. It's okay to be a giant fatass robot that will simply roll over on himself, but it's not okay to have a robot with "chicken legs", and be able to stand up quite well and have a predatory look about him.

Yeah coz nothing says predatory to me like a giant chicken!
I am a stickler for proportion, thats why I really dislike Starscream, and like Bulkhead, at least he is bulky all over.

Correction, a giant chicken with missile launchers for arms. Besides, you don't have to bend his legs that way. I don't, and he looks pretty good straight-legged.
Yes, Bulkhead is bulky all over his back, and body, but his so called legs and feet, and even his arms are a joke. A very sad, under-developed, inadequately proportioned joke.
