My shortlist is of toys that wound up sucking rather than toys that were great. Mostly I like what Hasbro / Takara have made.

I mean, there's no such thing as utter perfection. Even with Fansprojects. You have CC's BFG that he can barely lift, Sidearm being unable to be held by Hot Rod without putting his wrist into an awkward angle, and that tab breackage on Bruticus ... and that's just off the top of my head.

I can only think of a few Classics TFs that I'd say were disappointments. There are some who flat-out win and moreso who are just good. Of course the average price for thes rhings is MUCH lower, so ... you get what you pay for, I guess.

Hasbro is not worried about the fans, they just wanna make money.

This time around I by-passed the TF shelf at most stores because of DOTM. The gimmick was just dumb to me with Mechtech. Long live ROTF and I am not a Bayverse fan.

I don't expect Hasbro to remake a lot of figures we want.

Also we do pay through the nose for 3rd party but their production costs come out of there pocket. Hasbro has a few factories with cheap labor so they can crank out more to bring a cheaper price to the consumer.

All in all unless there is a change in the primal order of things, this is the way it is going to be for a long time. Better get some deep pockets...

after the horrific looking ROTF devastator from hasbro.....i gotta thank TFC because now i can safely say this....."I'll never need another devastator" :grin:

That was an entertaining read. I chuckled.

I should have wrote a letter like this to igear when I picked up thier Ark playset a couple of years ago. Its still sitting in its box under the house now, with all its warped panels, minus its mini soundwave. This experience put me off buying third parties for a long time but it looks like I jumped back in at the right time, just as causality was kicking off.
