Stan Bush UK Concert Dates CANCELLED!
The musician best known to Transformers fans for "Dare" and "The Touch" from the original Transformers movie soundtrack (1986), Stan Bush, had some sad news to report on his MySpace Blog.
The UK Concerts set for Oct 5th at Rio's in Leeds and Oct 6th at Rock City in Nottingham have been cancelled. Because of an immigration policy, the singer was denied entry into the United Kingdom.
The following has been taken directly from his MySpace Blog.
"I was denied entry into the UK because of an immigration policy
involving a work permit, so my shows there were canceled. I apologize for any inconvenience to
my fans, many of whom traveled great distances. I did everything I could, but it was
beyond my control. We're looking ahead to arrange something there in the near future.
Yours,
Stan Bush".

...but once again this poxy friggin' country screws over an honest hard worker while direct the spongers straight to the benefit office...
...for f***'s sake... Stan, your tunes on my MP3 player help me make it thru the days in 'Everything is sh*t Britain'... hope to see you soon man!

Why are you complaining? You have socialized medicine! LOL

It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Yet another reason for me to hate British immigration.

sounds like he was trying to get into the country to do gigs without a work permit
This is against the law, but really all you have to do is say you're going for vacation and then show up to the gigs and get paid. He probably was too honest and it screwed him over. Happens all the time.

Are you serious? Our government has turned our medical system which was once the envy of the world into a joke. The NHS has been run into the ground! There is little that is great about Great Britain these days. The Empire is lost!

Ah good ol' Immigration, doing its best to screw legal immigrants and visitors as often as possible!
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Oh I know...socialized medicine is great...in theory. In reality it's a whole different ballgame. It's kind of like business "theory"; MBA's sit around and think up new and better ways to run things and call it theory. It gets implimented because it's the latest rage and it fails miserably. Could you come over here and convince Americans that socialized medicine is the bane of good health care?

At least that's all your government does. Here in the U.S. legal immigrants lose their rights to ILllegal immigrants. Legal immigrants have to work for insurance and money. Illiegal immigrants get free money and insurance. I remember thinking a few months back when they were threatening to close the US borders and the illegal immigrants had gatherings and demonstrations, "At least INS knows where they all are...too bad they don't have enough men to arrest em all." LOL

No, our government lets in far too many illegal immigrants as well, sending legal immigrants to places like Fiji and Tonga instead...
And by the by, the USA is now going to get many of the Indonesian and Sub continent illegal immigrants Australia has, and Australia is getting the Cubans and Mexicans from America!
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

I would but for the fact that it worked until Labour got at it. Blair, Brown and the rest of Labour have **** my country into the ground.
That's why Brown has pussied out of calling an election. He knows he'd lose.

Feel lucky.
Like most older musical influences, I have to quote Homer, "No new crap, TAKING CARE OF BUSNESS, ... and skip to the good part, ... ROCK OUT!"
Do you realy wanna shell out show fees to here about "A WAR ON A WORLD SO FAR AWAY..." sung as a ballad no less!!!!!!!!!
I love DARE, and I wrote an 8th grade report about THE TOUCH, but dude, it's done.
Now pick, move along, or to the side, cause although yesterday you rocked! Today you don't, so don't push it unless you can.
Let us remeber the guy who rocked, as apose to being pestered by the guy who was cool that time.
Do something REALY awesome today, or fall into the "chance to echo has been" catagory.

That about sums up what i was going to say LOL, this boys milking it for all its worth lol. He should start doing free beach concerts or something lol.. I dont think it was British immigration , i just think they heard some of his music and was like " no no no you aint comming in here " LOL
Milking it is what America is about; sports athletes milk as much as they can. We try to milk as much out of the IRS as we can (and vice versa). You try to make as much as your ability grants; some people are Stan Bush, who only have a cult following. Some people are Genesis, who had to quadruple the number of North American concerts they were doing due to excess demand and have been playing for 40 years. Some people are Bruce Springsteen, who has managed to be a rock star the last 30 years while gargling gravel. Some people are local with amazing voices that deserve to be on the big stage but never will be because they don't fit Hollywood's cookie cutter of a pop star. I'm trying to milk as much out of the medical system as I can as a nurse; so is my wife. So let him milk; you guys may not enjoy his stuff, but others certainly do. It's a nice relaxing throwback to a simpler era of Commies, Ollie North, and the Super Bowl Shuffle (speaking of milking it...).
