High schools in my area had competitions centered around this, even.

I think I have about the first four book in the YJK series before the books stopped becoming available in my area, and that was before I started buying my books online.

Never bothered to get back into them.

Ok... C3-PO may be Perceptor, I can see that... but NOT Wheelie as Artoo.. just not fitting.. you DO know that R2 is actually COOL, right? And Wheelie is not only NOT that, but he's definately a virgin, something R2 is clearly free of for some time.

Vision of the Future was the last novel published under the Bantam line. Technically, it's the last novel pre-NJO novel. Chronologically, though, Crisis at Crystal Reef was the last novel pre-NJO.

While I may not be a hard core SW fan, I do love me some Yoda. But I prefer him really old and wizened and not able to move about so quickly. but some key things to remember:

one: I'm not taking the time to read all three pages of postage here, I skipped the second page. it's late and I'm getting tired.

two: If not for SW, many of our current robotic engineers would not have decided to enter the field.

three: I would not have the ability to use the movie's young male lead (ep 4-6) as a name sake, and have to use the saint of same name. {personal reasons count I think.}

Also, if SW truly sucked, it wouldn't have made George Lucas a wealthy man, therefore ILM wouldn't be where it is today, and there would be no live action TF movies, since ILM did most of the animation .

Hell yeah! The Tharwn Trilogy and later duology are awesome. Was a big fan of SW like 10 years ago but after the novels got too dear I stopped. Really looking forward to the "It's a Trap" later in the year.
