Star Wars TFs?
Are any of these worth picking up? I've seen some like Boba Fett, Luke/Anakin Skywalker, thinking "These are probably rare...", but the $15 price tag is unattractive. I'd like some opinions plase, thanks!

They're weird. Think of them as some subline from Star Wars, not actual TFs.
They are more fragile and fiddly than regular TF lines like Cybertron. Actually, their fragile parts and panels are reminiscent of the TF Movie line.
The robot modes are supposed to be robotic representations of the characters and work best for helmeted, armored characters like Boba Fett, Grievous and Vader, who already look robotic to begin with.
The alt modes are pretty much spot on from all angles except underneath, though some have wonky proportions like the Luke X-Wing.
Articulation is kinda decent, though they are often off-balance and hard to hold poses. They are roughly halfway between Deluxe and Voyagers size-wise and are packaged with tiny pilot figures which fit in the cockpits and are articulated to stand up as well.
Story-wise, these things are supposed to be battle mechs piloted by SW characters, not sentient beings.
So yeah, you have to appreciate the idea of a sub-universe that's not really part of SW or TF. If you're still curious, try the one whose alt mode or character you like most. Apart from some stinkers like Luke X-Wing and gems like Darth Maul, Grievous and Saesee Tiin, they're pretty much the same impact-wise.

Personally, I hate 'em. Other than Grevious, you'd be hard pressed to find a well proportioned and somewhat decent one. It really isn't worth 15 bucks. Although, the Vader Death Star is apparently really good.

These things are offensive and depressing. Hasbro should just whack us over the head with a tire iron and steal our wallets. IMO.

a few of the early ones like the luke x-wing go for a couple bucks more than retail, but all others.. well, you'll be hardpressed to give them away.
some molds are good, some are terrible. it's hit and miss. i've got them all, but they'll end up being packed away first when my spaces starts running out.
idk, they are novel. but you can find them pretty cheap, don't pay full retail.
fair enough?

Hmm...I saw Saesee Tiin today, but didn't think anything of it. DeathVader is a shelfwarmer around here, so it will always be there if I want it.
I haven't seen Maul, sounds like it would be awesome. If I had seen Grievous, I would have bought it regardless. (he's awesome) I suppose I should pick up Saesee?

Saesee is actually a pretty decent figure. The latest ones (AT_AT; Snowspeeder, Darth Vader Death Star, and Turbo Tank) are much better than the first gen figures in this line. The strength of the SWTF line is all of them have really great alt modes but many of their robot modes do have issues. The early ones have some weird joints that limit posaibility and most of them are back heavy so posing them becomes a chore.

No Offence to anyone who likes them but IMO,
I have thought of them as a groutesque abomination since the first time I saw them......
When I see them in the stores I feel like puking all the way back to my car.
In short, I have to agree with OPTIMUS MAGNUS, except that I feel instead that they are wacking us in the Nuts.

Piss poor, lazy, ugly, messy, and terribly designed.
I do not like the SWTFs.

This was a very interesting idea, yet very poorly executed. The only way I would get these are if they made Star Wars Ships transform into Transformer characters.
eg.
Mellenium Falcon=Prime with trailer
Tie Fighter=Megatron
Death Star=Unicron
ect....

I have to agree with harley quinn, I would actually enjoy seeing TF characters with alt modes from Star Wars ships and vehicles.
However, as for the actual SWTF figures, I can't stand them. They're an abomination. It's like Hasbro just woke up one day and said, "Hey, lets take our two biggest toy lines and mesh them together, slap both names on it, and people will eat it up!" The concept almost had potential, but instead it's just a bastardized marriage of TFs and SW.

I'll say it again. These fellas aren't real TFs. Sure, they bear the brand name, but so did the Animorph abominations. These are weird Star Wars toys, meant to stay in the Star Wars universe. Making the bot modes actual TFs like Prime and Megatron kinda kills what they were aiming for.

Well, after going back today and looking at them, I decided "Nay." I realized that I had never actually looked on the back of the packages. The bot modes are pretty horrible, wether it was for the SW universe or TF universe...
If I ever see Grievous, though, I'm still getting it.

Personally I really like the SW TFs I have. But the ones I didn't buy really do nothing for me.
I have the Anakin Jedi starfighter, the ARC-170 ship and the Greivous bike. I'm looking forward to the Turbo Tank, and I plan to the the DarthStar when it hits clearance. I like it ... but not for $50.
I really liked Harley Quinn's idea that they should have turned into TF characters, though. I think that would have been a more interesting crossover.

Like I said, I don't know what you're talking about, mine never had that problem.
Personally I dont care about that, but having seen the SWTF Millenium Falcon in both styls of packaging (in robot modes and in alt mode, I can easily say it is utter rubbish.
Both robot modes look [b]AWEFUL[b] and the alt mode (unlike most SWTF alt modes which are almost as good as the Star Wars Action Fleet toys were back i nthe day) looks my it belongs in a line called My First Star Wars...

No.
Movie Prime is pretty damn sweet.
And would you care to explain exactly how my thinking the Millenium Falcon SWTF is god aweful equates to Movie Prime being a gobot?

Easy : you're exagerating.
We had a discussion on another board about why most fans were using that technique to just say "I don't like it". Instead, they use words like "Happy Meal", "neon", "Gobot", "brick", etc. It's one thing to have an opinion, but you lose all credibility when you do that. The Falcon is as close to a My First SW than Leader Prime is to a Gobot.
EDIT : I do know that Leader Prime is a fantastic toy.

You look at the alt mode, the basic shape is (roughly) right, but anything that sticks out (especilly that gun on the top) is far too oversized and looks plain silly, hence my 'my first star wars' comment.
And I dont think I've ever used any of those words when discribing tfs, apart from 'brick' when explaing just how cool Sixshot and PM Prime are.
