it seems one sided, but then there are the ascended, the ori, weapons that could destroy a planet, which in most of the z fighters cases would be fatal. no matter how powerful vegeta is, if an ascended shows up and distracts him while the asgard (now dead but they were a prominent part of the sg universe) use their tech to blow the planet up, he will die. if the explosion doesnt kill him the lack of air will. nearly all of them but goku freeza cell and a handful of others could be killed like that.

and then the ascended can show up and fight until the end of time as far as i know, and clean up whoever is left of the z team. ascended beings can be intangible and teleport, i dont think even goku could touch them. his powers are based on the physical universe, hes strong durable, and can shoot beams of kinetic energy. none of that would matter to the ancients or the ori. if it was a co ordinated attack by the sg universe, with the ancients actually getting off their @$$es, id give it to the sg universe.

if ascended beings arnt in the fight, eventually freeza alone could probably wipe out the sg universe, simply because he doesnt have the oxygen dependency. gokus instant transmission would keep him alive becuase he could bounce from planet to planet keeping safe. but then alone the sg universe is too big for him to destroy because hed grow old and die before he killed everything.

ascended beings involved, sg wins. if they arnt, dbz wins.

Lure High Powered DBZ Character in front of Stargate.

Step Two
Begin Dialing Sequence

Step Three (and this is the Easy one)
Convince character that standing in front of the Stargate is a GOOD thing and will enable them to be transported to a world with lots of awesome stuff, because the average intelligence of a DBZ character is inversely proportional to their Strength, they will be taken in by this ruse.

Step Four
CMS Walter Harriman: Chevron Seven, Locked.

Plus, you're talking a show where the characters MacGuyver up entire computer systems based on a previously unknown culture. The Scientist chicks are all attractive and incredibly intelligent. Oh, and not to mention the biggest list of Deus Ex Machina plot devices since STAR TREK...

Did anyone read my post or, even better, unique_username's post?

Both are viable ways in which Stargate universe characters can defeat DBZ characters and, yet, it seems as though some of you are to that point where if it has DBZ in the title of the Fantasy Battle you immediately criticize as though it has been pre-determined that DBZ defeats any and all opponents.

Please Predaprince, any Old Timer of the Fantasy Battles knows that Mr. T. is the Reigning champ of the Fantasy Battles, he throws fools Helluva Far! Plus there is always Chuck Norris, Tommmy Olivier, and the Rock.

oh yeah, how stupid am i to have forgotten.

biological warfare. a heart virus was enough to kill goku, only having medication brought to him from the future saved his life. even if there were no ascendeds, the saiyans would all end up killed because sgc can give some super virus to the asgard, who can then teleport it onto gokus lap. im not sure how it would work with piccolo, cell or frieza though. presumably the asgard tech would be superior to the z fighters, so as soon as they tried going from planet to planet their ships are pretty average and can be destroyed like any other races. most of them cant survive in space so that would kill nearly all of them. frieza, cell and buu would still survive though, unless someone in the sg universe has the tech to teleport them into a star...

the more i think about it the more it is a one sided fight, only the against the dbz universe. they have alot of strengths, but also alot of weaknesses, and if the scg can do one thing well, its exploit weakness and defeat much stronger opponents.

Forget the saiyans, they [SG] would have a hell of a time against Frieza, and Cell would probably just blow their minds when he self-destructs and comes back stronger.

And even if they find some miracle way to beat those two, Buu would demonstrate that they never really had a chance at winning when he runs around blowing up every planet in the universe for poops and giggles.

DBZ wins.

Crappy Anime Cartoon with overpowered, overwanked, characters
vs.
Sci-Fi Series, 14 seasons, 2 movies and a failed animated series, with more Deus Ex Machina's than you can shake a stick at, characters who creatively bend the laws of physics daily, and a semi-realistically depicted military?

Oh, and BTW, assuming they could Reprogram the Ark of Truth, (which, with Carter and McKay I have no doubt they could...) This becomes a TRUE no-contest fight. All they would have to do is beam it at the approaching wankfest, they would see that they were wrong, and that their existence is futile, and proceed to take their own lives in a non-retartedly destructive manner.

Yes, they are overpowered and ridiculous, that's why they win.

Don't believe me? Look through all of these battles, 9 times out of 10 the least realistic character wins.

It's just the way that it is, for better or for worse....
