nice of amazon to finally catch up to the price BBTS has had for the past 2 years:

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retail

I actually might have made a mistake in thinking Predaking was previously full price. There's a possibility I confused this with Trypticon's somewhat recent "un-sale" pricing.
:HEADHURTS:

Still though, ~$98 shipped aint bad.

Hey man, never feel ashamed of posting deals for your fellow fans. At the very basic, this becomes a reminder for people who are new to collecting that this good deal is still out there and anyone who has prime can save on shipping instead of buying at BBTS (though would the fact that they get taxed balance that out? I dont know state laws)

Actually it's eligible for free shipping regardless if you have Prime or not. Granted it's not the nice and speedy 2 day option. If I ordered today without Prime the estimated arrival is the 17th-20th, which isn't too bad. I don't know state by state tax laws either, but for MN there's no tax on this through Amazon. At least that's what it's telling me at the place-your-order screen.

It's random as hell. It probably varies from state to state. For me it varies from site to site. BBTS, TFSource, Amazon and if I'm remembering correctly TRU do not charge me sales tax. HTS charges me tax.

It's really still kinda the wild west when it comes to buying online and getting hit with sales tax. They also base it on your local city and county (parish for Louisiana) taxes as well. I used to live in a city that had 9.5% tax, but I would ship to my work address where I would only get hit with 9% tax.

I want to say I remember hearing that it had something to do with whether or not the online retailer had a brick and mortar store as well, but then the Playstation Network started charging me sales tax. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Like the old saying goes: "Nothing in life is certain except death and taxes" :(

Ok the payment request email came while I was sleeping. Tracks plus EMS shipping came to £39.71 which I guess is fine.

Anybody remember what G2 Bee went for on Amazon? That Road Rage is tempting but I just might wait until it hits G2 Bee prices.

Hahaha - I like how they went out of there way to point out that Canada was excluded. Seems a little assy to me.

It's not a great deal, but when I shop at target I scan everything in my basket. I usually only save 5% here or there, but I'm saving.

Here is a cool thing about the cartwheel discounts, they stack with other discounts. I've applied the discount to clearance items.

10% off just covers tax down here so that's nice. Hopefully some new stuff will show up before the discount expires.

I also fixed the crazy huge size of the original image I posted

Thanks for the Target tip. It actually put me over the edge on skyreign's limbs when I saw them in stock today. Saved over 6 bucks, not insane but even minimal deals add up over time which allow for more figures in the long run!

The heck? My MP Tracks is being held by Parcelforce asking for £20.40 in customs charges? Nothing else I ever bought from Japan had this extra cost. I thought this was supposed to be a bargain? I dunno what to do. I didn't even want the figure that much. I just thought why not try it since it was quite a bit cheaper than usual. :(

Canada and the UK have a similar customs tactic for imports. They charge a nominal fee for their service plus the 20% VAT. Since there are so many products and imports, hey usually let things through and only look at the items that have an indicated fee of above £75-100. But they can still tax any import with an indicated price and sometimes do so when it nears the end of the month to fill a quota. I guess this month was lower and they are taxing everything that has a declared value. You probably didnt ask that your product be labelled as a gift and they pounced on it to fill their quota of either amount taxed or customs forms filled.

Yeah I dunno what I did. All I do know was that purchasing from that site was quite different than when I ordered from AmiAmi a few months ago. Having to wait for a purchase email before I could even give money was a bit strange and now this customs thing has really thrown me. I've emailed the site and asked if they'd take the item back from Parcelforce and refund my initial payment as I just can't afford another £20 this week and I don't want the figure that badly. If not then I'm just gonna have to find the £20 from somewhere and then receive the figure and try sell it and get all my money back.

I wish I'd never ordered it now but as I said I've never ever encountered this sort of thing despite years of ordering items from overseas without any issue. I'll certainly hesitate before making any further purchases.

Customs fees are something you should be aware of as a buyer, nobody's going to give you a refund for that, my friend. Unfortunately, getting hit with them is always a possibility.

Well I'm aware of it now that it's given me a chunky extra cost but as I said I'd ordered stuff from overseas many, many times over the years and this has never happened to me so I wasn't aware it was ever an issue before.
