Stressed hands on RTS Prime

Postby Fistful of Energon » Mon Mar 14, 2011 5:47 pm

just noticed both hands on my RTS Prime has pretty bad stress marks. And the hand that was holding the sword has one that almost completely goes through the fingers. This really sucks as now to prevent further damage he cant hold his sword :BANG_HEAD:

keep an eye out guys!

I don't mean this to sound accusatory, just inquisitive but were you pushing the sword in from the top of the hand or in through the side between thumb and fingers?

At least he looks cool with his sword sheathed in his back kibble too.

Im pretty sure I put it in through the top. the gap is too small to try to pop it in otherwise.

yea i agree, he is sporting the sword He-Man style and for an alternative it looks badass.

So your saying that yours doesn't have stress marks?

Not that I've noticed. I'll look again when I get home. Recent RTSs don't seem to be made of the strongest plastic around.

Mine has minor stressmarks too. They don't look too bad though, I think it was just the hands stressing slightly first time the sword is put in. It doesn't look like it'll get worse. I'd appreciate a second opinion though.

rts figs all have bad problems like this. For example My Jazz's right bumper had a a big stress mark because it was jammed when I opened it so I did full force on it then it cracked in half. so that pretty much happen to my jazz.  :-x

I attempted to fix the stress marks with a hair dryer. I kept it on one of the hands for a few minutes at about 3" away and I saw no improvement. Not saying this wont work, it could just be that I'm very impatient

Neither of mine has any stress on either hand. At one point one of them was holding both swords and it's still fine.
