As long as it's a possibility, there's nothing wrong with expecting it to happen.Sabrblade wrote:When they said "every character" is "on the table", that isn't the same thing as saying every character is getting made (or remade). That just means every character who appeared in the movie has the available option to get a SS86 release. But not every option is going to happen. They even asked if, say, a Studio Series 86 Grapple could happen, despite the previous release of Earthrise Grapple. The answer was that they could do it, but it read as if the implication was "if they wanted to do it".

Since SS86 is going to be over before we know it I'm guessing they'll do more stuff from TV that hasn't been well handled by Hasbro (SS Japan?) and more game stuff. I think the SSGE WFC stuff is just setting a standard before they go full on into figures for the new Reactivate game.

According to Evan, it's not even close to over for SS86 as he says EVERY CHARACTER in the movie is "on the table"(assist from DMac). I know that sounds...ambitious, but it does seem to indicate there's no end in sight to this part of Studio Series.
That would mean redoing a whole lot of figures already done really well in WFC and Legacy. Do we really need another Cyclonus? Glavatron? All the Seekers? Insecticons? I have a lot of doubts.

Weren't you born in 1999?

1979. The screen name is a long old story.

Not gonna lie, Chuck I figured you were way younger than me.
Not in a bad way, but doesn’t seem right there’s only 3 years between us.
Also, wanted to share my initial thoughts on Brawn…
Overall I think he looks good, or at least good enough.
What I find is off about him:
Even if he’s only as tall as Huffer, his proportions look off.
His head should have been larger relative to his limbs and torso…
When you look at his character model, his proportions are of an older kid;
Someone who’s body hasn’t caught up to the size of their head.
The other issue for me is I wish they could’ve managed to get his feet closer to the animated version…
This figure has extremely flat feet, where as the illustrated cartoon had almost “boot” or “high top” shaped feet that almost seamlessly matched the contour of the lower legs… I would’ve appreciated this being more closely matched.
I’m sure I’ll still get him, but I am slightly let down by this reveal.
This just doesn’t quite hit like the vast majority of SS86 figures have.

My concern with Brawn is that the figure looks really back heavy, hopefully I'm wrong.

I can’t really even think what changes/improvements would have to be made for me to buy all 6 seekers again…. Same with the Insecticons, especially considering imo these Legacy versions are really, really good.

Yeah, I’m a 76er.
I’m going to give Hastak the benefit of the doubt that they didn’t make Brawn back-heavy…
I’ve looked at photos more since my last post, and still,
this figure looks like it could’ve just been in an LE wave…
Just doesn’t have that SS86 look I’m used to it was hoping for.
But it’s still highly unlikely that I’d pass on him.

Keep in mind, the figures first released in SS86 were meant for Kingdom so they're technically not the usual SS figures. No licensed altmodes no extra kibble to make those altmodes look right. I don't think all the G1 characters from Kingdom were meant to be movie nods but obviously ones like Cyclonus and Galvatron fit.

Fellow 76er here as well. Sorry to go OT. But I find it mind boggling that people call me a "Boomer"....uh....that's my parents, not ME. We 76ers are the tail end of Gen X. In fact because I waited until I was almost 30 to have kids they are Gen Z....we skipped Millennials altogether

I've read articles that define us as this in-between generation. We were the firs with cell phones and the last of rotary. We're the first to have affordable cable, and the last to remember TV stations going off air. You see where I'm going.
Is it possible that Brawn looks off because it's mistransformed?
o.supreme wrote:Just by way of update, now that Brawn has been revealed as SS86 22. Here are the missing numbers (as far as I can tell)
SS86 18
SS86 20
SS86 21
I have a separate list of regular SS numbers in that thread.

Also I don't recall reading about a prowl release, what version is that supposed to be?
Snarl is already accounted for as 19.sol magnus wrote:so Snarl is probably 18.
I'm personally predicting Dead Prowl comes with Heroic Nonsense Ironhide, since according to leaker commentary the SS86 Ironhide mold has had battle damaged alternate parts since day 1.Munkky wrote:A leaked product listing a while ago said that Prowl will be part of a 2-pack in Buzzworthy Bumblebee, based on his death scene in the movie. I'm guessing it will be two Prowls in the set, a standard one and a version with the orange smoke coming out of his eyes and mouth.
