Toys'R'Us Japan has been updated with a handful of listings for their next wave of Darkside Moon toys. Among these listings are Shockwave, Skyhammer, and Zsolt (Jolt). However there's one listing that will be part of Takara's toy line and not in Hasbro's toy line for awhile or not at all. Many months back, the instructions of Tomahawk revealed an alternate head. This looks to be used by Vortex, a repaint of Tomahawk, and a heavy homage to the Generation One Combaticon. Check out the images below!

If you mis-transform the legs by keeping the feet up and putting the landing gear out as feet, it looks a lot better, IMHO.

Actually you can still just barely see it behind his left leg and his gun, not that it matters. =P

When I look at this toy, my brain gets a weird animated/movie feel.

When I first saw these pics earlier today. I actually thought it was a repaint & new head sculpt using the DOTM voyager sized Skyhammer toy mold.

Only after reading this reply,did I notice Vortex was using the Tomahawk toy mold with a new head sculpt.

My guess is since Takara put a new head sculpt on this mold. Hasbro will eventually used the tomahawk mold with the new head sculpt.

Hopefully hasbro gives us this DOTM deluxe Vortex toy as I love G-1 character homage movie verse toys.

I want him because he is a homage to a Combaticon, but thats about all. The mold sucks.

Edit :

Went back to Walmart and picked up a Skyhammer because theyre were only 2 of them and like 20 voyager Primes and Megatrons each and 10 Ironhides. And there were no Skyhammers at all in the other local walmart. I have a feeling Skyhammer and Shockwave will be very rare unless Walmart wasnt supposed to put that wave on the shelves yet and somebody goofed.

I know this has nothing to do with Vortex but I think DOTM collecters should know this just in case my hunch is right...
