Yeah, that one panel with Sureshot, Crosshairs, and Pointblank as Cyberdroids aboard Battleship Maximus could very well be them saying that they will not be going with the others to the Legends World for some reason. But until we get a translation or a summary, it's all up in the air at this point as to what that panel means.

So what are the chances of us getting Titan Masters of the Targetmasters then? And is it just me or does the Arcee included in the birdseye view of the base modes look an awful lot like her Titans Return incarnation?

Its nothing like it. It's Legends Arcee that's all. It's tease of "yeah she's getting re-released" just like how Metroplex is prominent in the stores now.

That's just the other arcee mould. You can tell by how wide and curvy her rear is compared to blurr beside her.

I could be wrong but it looks like Shaoshao Li is actually Hot Rod's Targetmaster. This makes me want the figure, and also sad that they didn't make the Targetmaster figure look like a little robotic Shaoshao.

OK never mind I'm an idiot. I still want a Shaoshao Li Targetmaster though.

Wait a minute, I just noticed the Master Braces on her forearms. She IS the Targetmaster! That's awesome!

It looks like the Decepticon Targetmasters in the comics join at the wrist. I wonder if that'll be a hidden bonus on those toys?

I wonder now how Kup's arms will transform, I don't see how they'll peg in.

The comic depicts them in the form they had in The Headmasters, before they got their new Legends toy-inspired bodies. Yes, even though they look pretty much the same; these comics have a tendency to portray the toys as new bodies. So basically I wouldn't count on it.

I find it interesting that they have the Autobot Targetmaster partners being forced into use by the Decepticons though, presumably explaining why they're now in toy form but not their Autobot weilders.

English summary of the Targetmaster Chapter Prologue:

The Headmasters were not the only warriors who fought in the battle near the black hole that forced the Autobots and Decepticons to seek new bodies in the Legends World—the Targetmasters were also present.

Pointblank leads his Autobot Targetmasters against their Decepticon counterparts led by Slugslinger, demanding they release the small Targetmasters that they've forced to become Decepticons. As the battle reaches its climax, the Autobot Targetmaster partners detach to recover the remainder of Scorponok's bombs only to be grabbed by the Decepticons. Slugslinger reveals that since the Targetmasters were bonded to their current partners by a plasma energy shockwave, their plan is to purposefully expose themselves to the black hole's explosion and bond with the Autobots' partners as well. Things don't go as planned, however, as the explosion instead shrinks their bodies and causes the Targetmaster partners to disappear. The Targetmasters go on to convert into Headmaster bodies like the other victims, but choose not to follow them to the Legends World, instead remaining in their own universe to search for their partners.

In the current-day Legends World, the three cityformers have been integrated into Akihabara and created what Rattrap dubs "Neo Akihabara City". The elected mayor of the new city is Megatron, who holds a speech about how he wishes to create an ideal world without conflict where Transformers, humans, and beasts can live in peace, claiming he does not want to repeat the "arguments" he had with his old friend, Optimus Prime. Elsewhere, Scourge has his Sweeps dig for another Zodiac only to uncover one of the lost Targetmasters, Blowpipe. Meanwhile, Hot Rod and Shaoshao Li arrive in the Legends World in search of the lost Targetmasters, the former having converted into a Headmaster body in order to be inconspicuous during their investigation. Problem is he can't actually afford a transtector for it, but he's confident things will work out somehow.

Good eye, but you've opened up more than you think. Extrapolating the fact that:

- Shao Shao Li calls out her Masterbrace outfit as a "Firebolt-type Suit"
- Firebolt proper never existed in Japanese lore

...we could expect Recoil and Haywire to be given the same treatment as newly designed suits based on the original Targetmaster specs, given to whoever Kup and Doublecross end up partnering with (another Beastformer for the draggie?). Given the current comic story line, Pointech may keep his original identity.

Words fail me with the Hot Rodimus manga when it comes to Shao Shao Li... Ahem, the notes for all three:

- first of, very high cut it seems. You ladies will know what I mean.
- Shao Shao Li still likes her steamed buns, like the KP PVC figurine
- the fatal flaw with the suits is shown as utterly destroying the clothes of the wearer. Nightbeat is aware of this flaw.
- the Targetmaster wielded by Sweep no. 7, and later Scourge is Blowpipe, having a cloning ability now. Triggerhappy will come to reclaim him later.
- Hot Rodimus fishing with Shao Shao Li references an extra piece of KP fiction.
- Sharkticons hatch from eggs?
- note that the tails of the Sharkticon clones are grey, while the template's tail (all there is, really) is blue, based on the original G1 toy.
- apparently Sharkticon clones can't eat as well as they used to, as anything swallowed can climb back out.
- turns out Marissa's daughter Sue is Kup's Targetmaster partner, using the "Recoil-Type suit"
- Kup hasn't kicked his cy-gar habit, tho he uses a plain screw instead. Yay for progress?
- a Sharkticon tamed? Where have we seen that before, it's "gnawing" at me...

As for Hotrod's comic, it's typical "Sikomofo" up to his usual, purile trucks again. He's not exactly the best thing to happen to Japan, or transformers, is he...

I came to this discussion page from the Kup Misassembled news post i didn'texpect to see inappropriate, possibly sexual/misogynistic portrayals of women on the same page.

EVERY time I see this here, I'm going to comment about it. That's not to say I would always do so if due diligence has been met, but expect such comments if you openly post content that causes such debate.

I'm headcanoning the Sharkticons as very much like pirahna- when they're hungry they can eat just about anything, but most of the time they're timid things that are scared of the dark and anything bigger than themselves (which is most things) and mostly nibble on scrap metal.
