Yes! Ironhide! It was about time he got a proper toy!

And they even included all those accessories, he was like a Swiss Army knife on the show.

He actually fits inside MP-10's trailer, too.

ratchet and ironed were the only toys i never lusted over as a kid. I recall seeing them in the shop window and was confused and almost shocked. I had got wheel jack that time...

I have the generations versions which in spite of their panel puzzle former look were somewhat adequate but a C+ nonetheless.

Prime ratchet I liked too.

This though like UM blows everything out of the water. Maybe the hip panels are a bit distracting like magnus' but flap but i can live with them. It even comes with a sled!

If i were mega rich I'd buy 10 of these guys to display him in his own case with each set of accessories! i mean the hollowed out fingertips! DAMN!

Yes! Finally a proper version of Ironhide.
And I just fixed the head of my generations version. That took me some time..

So after Tracks it's Ironhide. Next one on my list is JAZZ... Common who doesn't want a MP JAZZ?

ironhide's hip panels aren't anime accurate tho are they? I'm not complaining cos i already love this toy. Like when mp wheel jack came out i knew i had to start collecting mp's again after skipping a few.

My early entrance to Transformers was the Marvel Comic. Therefore Ratchet always had a special place near my heart.. I LOOOOOOVE that original story where the 'non-combatant' vs. Megatron... and has to track down and wake up the Dinobots for backup.

Still my favorite origin for them...

Never wanted the original toy though... that was rubbish.

Gotta say I'm kind of excited about this. I'll probably get him and unless the price is really reasonable, skip Ratchet. I do have the Igear version already bought after all.. and it'll be kind of cool to see an Ironhide and Ratchet that are 'almost' the same... but different molds.

Help appease the whole 'G1 purist' AND 'hate buying repaints' aspects of myself :DANCE:

Yeah I was looking forward to not having the battle station, which was never in the show...I always disliked that part of the G1 toy...although I hated his head or lack there of more than the battle station

Upon further inspection it looks like the battle station part is completely seperate from the vehicle??? I would be totally ok with that

Will be nice to see some more close up shots and a back side picture of his bot mode.

The battle station (sled) on this toy is much slimmer than on the g1 toy and thus I think it is only formed by the thin roof of the van. Those seem to be the same piece although nothing is confirmed yet.

On second thought, this image of all his acessories does show the sled as a different piece. Pretty awesome:

Takara MP-27 Iron's side hip panels are on a hinge and can be rotated to the back. Just that it won't rest flat on his butt.

EDIT: The Sled is not part of the transformation. It's an extra piece to store weapons.

Ok, so now I've had time to sleep on this and objectively look at this...and it's still friggin' AWESOME! I would expect the announcement for Ratchet to be made in the next month or so, and then the question is, who will be MP-29? I'd love to see Jazz, but I think I'd even be happier for Sunstreaker, red Sunstreaker and police Sunstreaker. BTW, has anybody seen the expected price for Ironhide yet? This is a new size point for the MP line, so I'd expect around $90-$100?

Sorry to post 3 in a row, but anybody remember how the early MPs had a clue to who the next one would be? The extra panel on Ironhide shows the scene from SOS Dinobots when the triceratops fossils are found. So....

I'd be totally smitten with this release if only he didn't have those red panels on his hips. Minor complaint.
Major complaint, his legs look like they have some really weird articulation issues. All the pics that have him in an action pose have the legs oddly contorted. Like a joint has been omitted from the design or something.
Of course i'll just need to wait to see more.
