After the news we reported on yesterday, we now have confirmation of two new additions the Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece line - starting with MP-37 Artfire! Using MP-35 Inferno as the base mold, of course, Artfire sports the predominantly white deco and some new accessories, including Targetmaster partner Nightstick. Check out some images below, courtesy of site sponsor TFSource, who also provides with price point ($139.99 USD) and expected release date (May 2017).

The Targetmaster can be held normally, or attach to the arm like in the Japanese cartoon.

I honestly wasn't expecting this so soon. Still, glad to see he comes with a new Targetmaster, I don't think the one that came with Hasbro's MP Hot Rod would've worked very well.

Please let this be a pre-cursor for Scourge and Cyclonus! I'd also love to see MP-28 Hot Rod re-released with Targetmaster Firebolt. This also gives me great hope for a Masterpiece Jazz and Stepper in the near future.

Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Scourge weren't Targetmasters in Japan, so I doubt it
In any case this looks really friggin' awesome. I like the colours way better than Inferno and that targetmaster is so cool.

I would rather say different accessories than less. Sure, there is a smaller number, but many of the accessories for Grappel and Inferno are for aesthetic changes. Instead, they give Artfire a targetmaster partner, so another transforming figure. It seems like a fair trade off.

Also gotta consider that compared to a couple different heads, the Targetmaster is much bigger and is friggin' articulated. He's pretty much a Legends Class+ figure.
