Hmmm... I'm really feeling the same way about those 80s-toy-sticker tampos as I do about GI Joe vs. Transformers. It's in that little area where it's so cheesy and dumb and over-the-top... but it's walking the tightrope between that being a source of humour and love or just being a little bit too much. I'm not sure if I like them or not :-?

I love them, and this figure is gorgeous. To me, this is the best looking figure of the mold, and I am so glad I pre-ordered him

I'm really not a fan of forcing toy-style-sticker tempos on an anime-style sculpt. It just looks wrong when the original toy sculpting isn't there. Especially hate those tempos on his shins that were intended to wrap around a protruding bit, but are instead splattered across the front of his leg. I could really do without most of these.

I wish the legs had more detail too, but I think it works. It still looks pretty sweet

To add insult to injury, he had toy-accurate detailing in the manga:

... making some retooling almost a necessity. Yet they didn't...

That would make Takara even more happier....less cost more suckers fans to sell to. :lol:

Who knows? Maybe that extra molding on his shins might appear a few years from now as Inferno perfect anime Diaclone edition? Anime Alert took us by surprise for example. And the extra struts to carry the latter was surely made with the Alert anime version in mind.

There's still the potential Roadhauler.

The Lambo guys are like 6 and counting. The Nissan are like 5 already. Corvette at 3. VW 3. Etc etc

While not posted recently, we were alerted by Seibertronian Cyberpath that there exists some prototype images of the upcoming Masterpiece Nightstick that will come with MP-37 Artfire. Courtesy of Blacklai's toybase, we have 11 images to show to you, with show Nightstick from several angles and also Masterpiece Inferno, the basis for Artfire, and how Nightstick integrates with the mold.
