Umm, you do realise that those are not designs of the MP figure right? Those are the character models from the Victory series bible and are clearly dated by the stamp on the bottom. All of the models shown during the Fans Choice poll were pre-existing artwork from the each lines series bibles and not new designs.

But one could argue that the Masterpiece figure would be based on that design, given a few liberties, like with the current Masterpieces. My main concerns would have to be the knee and waist joints of the Star Saber form.

I corrected my error. Sorry ... I should have caught that. I'm just not used to seeing such a large version of that artwork. I think that was actually his design from those Manga comics.

My bad as well. I had seen the designs attached to other articles and assumed they were rough sketches for a concept, and had alerted the news team. :oops:

Nice to see quite a number of people acting all butthurt here.

But in all seriousness,I'm glad that the Japanese continuity is finally getting some love and having Star Saber as a prime candidate for the MP treatment is beyond awesome in my mind.

I'm just curious if there will be a Victory Leo release sometime in the future thanks to this.

He never appeared in the US run, instead he appeared in the Japan-only Victory series in 1989. Remember, Japan continued while the US stopped.

They could give him extending shoulder joints much like MP-01, no T-pose but still at least a solid 70-ish degree spreading his arms outwards. All he needs to be able to do is reach his back to activate the Saber Blade and maybe hold his sword with both hands.

I think he'll be a treat for any TF fans, G1-purists or not. Seriously, we're talking about a badass Autobot Commander who brings a sword to a blaster-rifle fight, spaghetti western cowboy style.

I'll repeat my enthusiasm for this - Star Saber's a neat character, and it will be nice to have another larger MP Autobot to accompany Prime (besides Ultra Magnus, that is).

That said, I hope we see more Decepticons... Megatron, Shockwave, and Reflector should be priorities.

Am I the only one surprised how far Armada Prime got in this poll? I mean nobody was going to beat out Star Saber because, c'mon, it's Star Saber, Japan loves him... but Armada Prime coming in second? That is something I could not have foreseen.
