Takara based theirs on Sarah Stone's coloring of Windblade, which in turn was based on early concept coloring for the character. Ah, gotcha. The world is right again. I thought there was discussion initially that Hasbro's was more comic accurate. Must have been another figure...
[Edit] As I look at my comic that came with the figure, the cover art is accurate to Hasbro's scheme. But, looking at the inside, the Takara one is closer to the interior art.
