Energon is Blue in its crystal state (as in Beast wars) in a liquid fuel form it's often shown as blue too.

But it varies a bit the solid-hologram form is usually red for Autobots using it (green for Decepticons) (yellow for others).
In Transformers:Energon (Superlink) Blue Energon is supercharged "Dangerous form" that would kill someone if using it wrong - the mis-formulated Synthetic Energon Ratchet uses in Transformers Prime is Green - but I guess you could argue that it's not supposed to be green and that is why it was a miss-formulated sample.

I've often wondered from time to time when I'm playing with my Energon toys what "Special Powers" Black Energon or Purple might have.
Especially as I was reading up on Superman's Kryptonite colours a while ago it got me thinking about the same sort of thing with Energon.
And that is without even getting into questions like why Laserblasts are the colours they are when they are "Energon Powered".

I always forget Anime Export, I don't like the idea of paying in advance for pre-orders, they're the only "major" shop I know of that requires it.

But thats how they can have those prices so low. They insure to never have a cashflow problem and that all their figures are always sold and payed for and can thus afford to lower their margin more than any other retailer.

Nothing shady, it's just part of the formula for that the value of money is time sensitive.

For fans it can also be a way to hedge their bets on the exchange.

Also, that pick is the Takara version of the red pulses that are on pretty much all of Milnes characters. Kinda like how FoC autobots had that red pulse look. the energon in IDW is purple, except for camiens, it is blue.

I like the glow feature. It's starting to feel weird that it's getting abandoned in the comics. MTMTE is still doing it a little here and there but johns book has almost completely removed it since most have adopted non FoC modes

I have one from when I was a kid, unfortunately his engine block gun is long gone. Or at least deeply buried in a toy box in my mom's attic somewhere. Not quite ready for the massive sorting project that will be just yet. I actually found that figure just before making my account here and really fell in love with it, hence my nickname and avatar. He and the rest of the Axelerators have a totally rad 90's color scheme. I plan on picking up his buddies on ebay sometime. (The European versions have real nice pink tinted windows instead of the smoky gray on the US versions)

I kinda prefer this - as it means I don't have any "surprises" happen to my bank account at a later date.

As for "major" sites? Not sure if the following are major, but Robotkingdom and Premium Collectables do it this way. I know PC will allow you to cancel a preorder and put that value towards something else as a credit (just did so this morning.)

Btw I have Generations Springer, and I do not remember people talking much about the issue with the gun tab for helicopter mode. Basically it is less like a tab and more like a "T shaped slider tab". Basically you have to partially slide the tab on in order to get it in. The issue with it was, although it didn't break right away, I noticed that the gun took TREMENDOUS force to take off, and no matter how hard I tried to be careful, it ended up starting to slighty crack anyhow. I was determined to stop the crackage right away to I started to sand the sides of the T tab down a bit, and then it worked fine with now more crackage, and still held on fine. I am thinking something similar with Devastator's foot tab.

meh, never equipped his gun in copter mode, nor do I know of anyone else who does either, guess that would explain why it was never brought up as an issue

I equip his gun and have had no such issue. You have to slide it forward to attach and back to detach. Sure, you've got ridiculous clearance issues and just tabbing in traditionally would have been preferred, but I haven't observed any cracking.

Brought this over here since this is where it most belongs. I am with That Bot: I have never had an issue with Springer and his gun, no cracks, no nothing. And I have had mine for now 3 years and transformed him countless times and I do equip the gun in coptor mode.
