It's a pretty loose interpretation. I think what Will was pointing out is that Takara was referencing something specific, instead of it just being a random "Space Cruiser".Sigma Magnus wrote:Nexus Knight wrote:I am I the only failing to see the similarities with Leo's ship mode and the Yukikaze? I don't see it either, honestly.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

But is that the official word, though? Did Takara actually claim that they're using the ship mode to represent the Yukikaze, or even that they simply colored it in homage to the Yukikaze, or is it just an assumption that we fans have made? Cuz I don't recall hearing anything from an official source about the ship mode being the Yukikaze or even just being colored after it.Nexus Knight wrote:Cobotron wrote:It's a pretty loose interpretation. So instead of him captaining the Yukikaze he is the Yukikaze? That's... pretty neat, actually.

Its a loose interpretation. And I just added that detail for us to see if it even is a decent interpretation or not.
The part that makes me think there is definite intent is that blue cockpit at the top, its exactly where that same blue can be found on the Yakikaze

In the meantime, one could use the backstory for this toy that the Club breathed life into for Beast Wars: Uprising.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:*awaits the translation of the bio*

It's arguably the most prolific fiction the Club ever put out (for free, even, save for some few magazine-only stuff).Kurona wrote:I'm not quite sure, but I'm starting to think you might like Beast Wars: Uprising

Arguably some of the most prolific TF fiction ever, right up there with some of James Roberts' works. Jim Sorenson and David Bishop are darn good writers.

And his function on the packaging in English reads "Ancient -----ot". Could that be "Ancient Autobot"? If so, that's bizarre considering he's a character from the future.
