Was on HLJ earlier, seeing what's available, and I see Legends Ultra Magnus is still up for Preorder, and while I already have the Hasbro version in my PoL, the Takara paint job looks that much nicer... So he's on pre-order now. Not entirely sure I'll keep him on P/O, or if I'll cancel the Hasbro one with BBTS, or get both or whatever. I do want Minumus Ambus though... Maybe I'll keep the Hasbro and he can be my first custom figure to play around with?
Have also placed the three new fembots on pre-order there too - along with Grand Scourge, Sept/Oct could be a costly period for my collecting.

Amazon.co.jp just put up pre-orders for Legends LG15 Nightbird, LG16 Slipstream and LG17 Blackarachnia and with it comes new super clear images of the three! Sad to say they are still in their prototype forms but you can really see them in great details! These three are due to be released in October of this year, let us know will you be picking these up?

It just dawned on me that they really are calling the figure "Nightbird Shadow" instead of just "Nightbird", when even in the Japanese version she was just called "Nightbird".
I have to wonder if the new name is a reference to the Japanese name of the episode she appeared in ("Enter the Nightbird") being "Nightbird no Kage" ("The Shadow of Nightbird").

I dont really like that head sculpt for slipstream. Is it me or does she look decidedly less tough? I'll have to see it painted.
I have been into transformers since 1984.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.
I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part
I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs.
It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise.
TFCon List: Classics Skywarp, General Optimus, BW Airrazor, Transmetal Tarantulus, Alternity Prime, Fire Convoy

They'll be neat when fully done, I think. But they have their flaws, no doubt about it.
Nightbird retains the problem of the Arcee mold, namely, her 'child birthing' hips.
Slipstream looks... very chipper for a fem Con.
And I'm not sure why they're replacing Blackarachnia's fangs with 'scoops'. The only reason would be that the designers are guys, and they wanted to see the TFA BA mold with more pronounced mommy-bags....

And I'm not sure why they're replacing Blackarachnia's fangs with 'scoops'. The only reason would be that the designers are guys, and they wanted to see the TFA BA mold with more pronounced mommy-bags....
I don't get why this is a problem for you.. or anyone, I've heard the complaint before. Why? what are you expecting?
Plus, who's honestly gonna complain about a fine pair of hips like that?
