Only Cerebros' head/Emissary's back has been retooled between Hasbro retail and SDCC/TT Legends. The rest is all different deco and plastic color placements.

Perfect Effect has a really fabulous one. I bought for my HASBRO version. It is really heavy though!

I almost got the sdcc version from hts but after shipping and taxes it was alittle over 200 bucks. So I got the basic hasbro one instead.

Some people here are rich. I have read people stating (true or not) about buying all kids of large amounts of 3rd party combiners, and other expensive stuff, even though they've got a house, kids, a partner and other expenses.

I can;t even afford a car, have no kids and have a reasonably paid job, but I still can;t afford half the stuff people buy here.

However, as I do live in Japan, I can get Fort Max and most Japanese TFs cheaper than most people (usually via Amazon Japan pre-order and sometimes at the wholesale price, but alas not this time).

Living here also gives me access to cheap ramen, yakisoba, sushi and hot Japanese girls and women.

But that, as they say, is another lawsuit/moderator comment/perma-ban...

Same here. At times it isn't the matter of choice but availability. In my case, I have no choice but a willing choice to get the JP version as the pricing between the SDCC version or Hb and their availability is next to nil.

And Leoking, stereotyping tends to limit your view of the broader scope of things. You don't have to believe everything what some members here type about their purchasing habits. As they say, even in journalism, only about 50% reported is actually truth, the rest are a figment of their creative imaginations.

The proof is that some might rant against the price of import TFs yet will purchase all sorts of figure lines other than TFs. It's like what? Why not just focus on a single line and save on the cash for more import TFs etc etc etc

That's right. Also, it might just be someone's only purchase for the year, out a work bonus, etc. It's silly to compare purchases with other people as we don't know anyone's circumstances.

In bold, that being the case, they shouldn't be raining on other people's parade then.

Hate to break it, but with Apeface having shrunk in the wash, plus Crashbash/Clobber/Overboard's Dino modes supposedly already resembling Snapdragon (I don't really see it tho), plus TakaraTomy-original molds are a handful compared to those commissioned by Hasbro...

Just too many factors against Titan Master Class figures getting bodies of their own.

From the Figure King magazine, issue 223, and via the Loopaza Mega Store on Facebook, we have some new images of the Takara Tomy take on the latest Titan in town - Fortress Maximus! Part of the Legends line in the Japanese company's taxonomy, the big bot can be seen below in its multiple modes, with his sword, interacting with other figures from the line, and in a nicely lighted shot. You know, thinking about it now I'm surprised Takara didn't give him a large rifle-type thing like he had originally and is actually on the U.S. box art. It's also kind of weird seeing them show of the leftovers from Metroplex as features too.

Japanese Fort Max had different box art depicting him wielding his sword instead of a gun. And his Japanese fiction portrayals never had him using his toy's guns, as he was strictly a sword-wielding bot in Japan.

I was talking about the TR Fort max box art, I know he has the sword on the ol' Headmasters box art but I didn't know that he never actually used his guns in the show. I really should get that Japanese G1 anime box set that they have out one of these day.

Given all the discussion over Takara's remolding on the Technobots, it's a little strange they didn't do more to fix Fort Max. The sword is nice, but there's a lot of flaws a little extra work could've fixed. Ramps that went all the way to the ground, extra guns to complete the battle station mode, wheels...

Not to mention that Takara are treating the Titan as a new ship/body for Fortress, so in that regard it doesn't have to be too close to the original.

Right, but he came in parts and was a considerably smaller titan, right? They were essentially just retooling some voyagers.

In any case though they probably could have done some minor retooling - heck, if you want to count it I guess giving him different sounds is retooling. I think? I dunno. But I don't think they could've done anything as major as ramps and extra guns.
