HAH, I called Fangry's drone being redecoed into a Savage/Noble homage long ago! And very fitting too, considering Doomshot now resembles BW Megatron (or the purple Megaligator). Nice save with the TM2 detail, as Savage didn't have a neck, or even eyes.

And fully agree on Windblade's partner being Pointech/Pinpointer. That leaves only:

- Spoil/Spoilsport
- Peaceman/Peacemaker

and possibly:

- Nightstick
- Fracas

Windblade's Targetmaster just leaves me longing for the rest of the Autobot team of Crosshairs and company.

So something I'd been thinking about for awhile.

G2 is where the purple faced Megatrons started. It's not really clear where or how Galvatron went back to being Megatron in most continuities. (Except IDW or Marvel G1 UK where Galvatron is someone else. Straxus as Megatron became Galvatron in G1 Marvel UK, didn't he?)

I'd been playing with the idea that G2 Megatron is the Beast Wars Megatron when he first "steals" the Megatron identity. Galvatron is still out there.

Anyway... With the Savage/Noble inclusion, I'm kind of wondering if Takara isn't taking the same route...

in the original series in Japan, the manga- Return of Convoy/Battlestars (which is the animated continuity continued after Zone...) explains that Dark Nova creates "Super Megatron" (from Galvatron entombed in Ice during Headmasters), I see this as both a restoration and an upgrade .

I really, really love Windblade so I decided to do a comparison. Aside from, obviously, the weapons; there are very little differences between Hasbro and Takara Windblade in robot mode. A little shoulder detailing there, a bit of blue on the knees here; nothing to write home about. But it's the jet where things really get different.



The back of the jet is pretty much the same thing, but the fans on the wings are now transparent or white (yay!) and the cockpit is VERY different. The nosecone is now almost completely white, while the cockpit window is transparent blue instead of yellow and there's some odd yellow stripes added below it which makes her jet mode oddly look like it's very angry at something. Probably at her portrayal in Machinima CW. I don't mind it, it kinda looks hilarious and it's the robot mode and accessories that matter more to me at the end of the day

The white and yellow detailing is accurate to the comic and was featured on the original TakaraTomy Legends figure too.

Meg's cannon looks amazing in all black. I dig it, even if they weren't as creative as some of you... by the way I wanted your versions more, but this will do.

The Savage/Noble homage is really fun, and a big floating Megatron head (even if it isn't Beast Wars/Machines).

I'd have to look at the clones to see how they differ from HASBRO's and Windblade (besides the targetmaster). Not familiar enough yet with the H version to compare with the TT.

Actually, there is some nice differences in the clones. The takara has a richer blue. Their silver faces. I think the stripe on their arm transform joints are different. Certainly a little more than the Windblade robot mode differences.

Well, everyone forgets that Takara's are actually cheaper (by a technicality of Hasbro putting one in a $100 box set).

No Megatron rules decal?! Still love this guy more than the Hasbro version; usually I don't see much use in putting 10 to 20 dollars extra on a TakaraTomy TF if there would be little to no differences (or if a figure is painted differently while achieving the same results), but if a figure is given an entirely new paint job and/or new accessories, I'd more than likely buy it. Could care less about Windblade and the Clones, though.
