Remember, the first wave of TFs in Japan was our combined '84 and '85 waves, so Tracks, Red Alert and Smokescreen are still 1st wave for them.
That being said, preordered. If anyone's looking for a G1 Tracks with paperwork and box, that'll be going on ebay today. Just sayin'

Road rage is crosscut's distinctly female, and distinctly badass bodyguard and advisor. Much like crosscut she was.an e.hobby exclusive repaint. Her deco was used by the club for sg tracks.
Okay, probably from the comics. Would be nice to have that repaint with a female headsculpt.
Actually she and crosscut were g1 characters, however their only fiction for a bit were their respective box info. Also technically they're some of "newest" G1 figures/characters, coming out in the new millennium, but still meant to be part of a 84 G1 continuity. Crosscut was only recently put in IDW's more than meets the eye comic as a side character, and road rage had a few glorified cameos in club comics.

not sure if you meant it as such, but there was never a wheeljack reissue (or subsequent ehobby exhaust).JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Exhaust (Wheeljack)

If Tomy can give Exhaust (he never really was given a TF G1 release) a new head for the WJ mold, what more for Roadrage? I pray it's gonna be a humanoid feminized face complete with lipstick ( no sexism intended)

I kinda hope it's not- just give me a straight recolor and designate it as MP-25R.

That would actually end up as an exclusive release. And guys, humanoid face = Tracks, battle mask = Road Rage.

Well, BotCon did establish "humanoid face = Bumblebee, battle mask = Glyph", so there is that precedence.Seibertron wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:And guys, humanoid face = Tracks, battle mask = Road Rage.
Don't tell the Collectors' Club / BotCon that

That might be your interpretation but Bumblebee still gets a battle mask whenever he wants it. The Masterpiece figure, G2 Masterpiece, RID Bumblebee, Animated Bumblebee, Movie Bumblebee, etc. I'm sure most Transformers fans don't even know who Glyph is.
You also seem to put much greater weight on the contributions of the Club and BotCon than I do. They're only a step above fan-fiction in my book and can be contradicted at any time by Hasbro, Takara and IDW.
No need to get so defensive. I'm just saying that there has been a fembot redeco whose default fictional face was its toy's battle mask instead of a humanoid face like the ones given to its male mold mates, and that Road Rage would just be following that preexisting pattern.Seibertron wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Well, BotCon did establish "humanoid face = Bumblebee, battle mask = Glyph", so there is that precedence.Seibertron wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:And guys, humanoid face = Tracks, battle mask = Road Rage.

Not getting defensive. Just find the obscure references being considered as "canon" or a pattern humorous. If I've learned anything over 30 years of this brand, obscure references are often tossed aside on a whim as are any patterns that fans think Hasbro and Takara are adhering to.
Yet, the discussion is about Road Rage, a character who is an obscure reference in and of herself. By which I mean only us hardcore fans really know anything about her, while to casual fans she's less than a blip on the radar.Seibertron wrote:Sabrblade wrote:No need to get so defensive.

Elita-1, Nightbird, and Minerva would all 3 be at the top of my list. Fingers and eyes crossed!

I also wouldn't consider a mini-1 page manga comic attached to the back of instructions to be canon just like I don't consider the Decoy catalog mini-comic to be canon. Marketing materials is more like what all of those fall under. Serving a limited purpose but not the larger true canon.
