Yup. May have to after all.

Im having a hard time convinving my eyes to see and believe this looks like a "female" robot. Its just not there... the rounder thighs and arms just dont do enough, it looks more like a teenage transformer. I believe woman come in all shapes and sizes, and yes even robots, but this just does not look enough like a female... a total missed opportunity...

Apparently, she's only got road rage in vehicle mode. Fiction is SLOWLY expanding for her.

They're both pretty affordable if you go the Amiami or HLJ routeMaverickPrime wrote:I prefer bule over red, but hot damn! Is that a sexy looking beast!
Being MPs, I will barely be able to get one, so whether I go Tracks or Road Rage depends on which kne I can get cheaper, but both look reaaally nice!

I want "road rage" - heh!

Where, oh where, is her faceplate?
Edit:
Honestly, in my eyes, she isn't Road Rage without that mouth plate. How many fembots have a hidden face? (Aside from the new IDW fembots.) I could totally deal with a hidden feminine face ala MP Wheeljack or MP Ultra Magnus with the hidden Minimus face. (Even MP Prime and Soundwave?) Come on.

Masterpieces do cost a lot more individually but they also have far higher production and design costs, higher quality of packaging, greater amount of plastic colours and paint apps, and the target audience is by definition a lot narrower.
While I might argue that things like Year of the Goat MP Soundwave are sheer madness by and large I don't think anyone is complaining about these clever repaints or retools, and it's not like their existence is HINDERING new molds getting made; quite the reverse. Road Rage is not only an interesting choice that will appeal to fans of the obscure, those who are bored or 1984-85, and the increasingly large female fanbase, but it's also a great way of getting more profitability and thus survivability from the Masterpiece line.

Well, then you would fit right in here.

Good point, I forgot about the faceplate.

I think everyone forgot about the faceplate. Not really all that surprising when we're talking about such an obscure character, but still.
I may be the only one who cares and who is TakaraTomy to bend over backwards for me alone.

In a rare example of me not pulling toy accuracy as the highest canon there is I actually dig the more human and obviously female face for aesthetics. It looks better to me than the faceplate (though I wouldn't say no to a removable one) but as far as I'm concerned the most important part is that RR here is a pioneer in the field of Female MPs, and making her obviously female, rather than could-be-a-dude-with-shapely-thighs is very valuable representation-wise. Otherwise we wind up in a Binaltech Arcee situation where there's a very weaselly "she's a girl because we say so, even though zero engineering effort was made to make her look like a girl" attitude. If we get three or four female MPs and they start making them look less distinguishable from dudes later that's more reasonable.
To be fair, she's only had two visual fictional appearance so far, in which she had no mouthplate in one and yet had a mouthplate in the other, so it's still pretty even.Convoy wrote:And it seems she appears in fiction without the faceplate more often than not.
