Interesting good, or interesting bad? I can't remember if you previously said you were down for this figure or not.megatronus wrote:Looks like we have an opaque red sword rather than a translucent one... I hadn't noticed that before. Interesting.

Cobotron wrote:Hey! You seemed to have attracted a wild Megatronus. They're hard to find, but boy are they fun when you catch one!
I know. Not Black Convoy'ing up the actual Energon/Superlink Prime was such a wasted opportunity.Seibertron wrote:I'm looking forward to it. Would live to see the real grand convoy done as grand scourge instead of the little pla kit.
Good. Don't.megatronus wrote:So I'm happy to own a black Prime version (still haven't gotten regular Prime yet).
Rated X wrote:Sorry, that red sword looks really stupid. It's bigger than him. And the way it's shaped, it looks more like a small flag or banner on a pole than as sword.

Which is why this toy is just so damn awesome. I love when weapons/accessories get swapped from different molds. I wish they did more of that to help differentiate mold usage.

That actually make me wonder: are the molds for the weapons completely separate from the main figure? In other words: when the weapons are cast, are there any other parts cast with it? Seems counterproductive, yet for exchanging it's perfect. I mean, look at:
- The MechTech weapons
- The Simplified Beast Hunter weapons being used for Movie Advanced
- The Weapon Giveaway promotions
With that, TakaraTomy is more able to do so for some reason...

The guns are just called "Scourge Guns". The combined mode is yet to be named, however if they're gonna follow the names from the original kit, it'll most likely be called "Grand Scourge Hyper Mode", mirroring "Grand Convoy Super Mode".
I don't disagree.Seibertron wrote:I'm looking forward to it. Would live to see the real grand convoy done as grand scourge instead of the little pla kit.

But what I wanna see is the CW Optimus mold redecoed in Grand Convoy colors, like this (ignore the limb-bots, the Optimus digibash is the main focus):
I honestly couldn't tell ya. I've always loved that Prime, it was like a posable Megazord! And people might be excited about this, cause there were lots of "wow that's Energon'y" type comments and they didn't seem like complaints.william-james88 wrote:While I am loving the positivity, I am wondering if your enthusiasm is felt by others. I like Energon Optimus too but only got him for cheap because the market price on that toy is low due to the low demand. Has this toy become more liked as time goes on?
