Yeah, we got you, and that's what we're saying. We're just discussing why we like our choices better is all

Well, you have to keep the drill attached to the knee, that's just storage, you can attache it to comps' wrist in lieu of a hand - it's what I would do
Hasbro's also comes with better combiner pieces, those couple extra little figures (forgot their names), AND a better color scheme in my opinion. A better use of money in my opinion. Why spend 150 USD on the Takara version, then spend 30 to 50 MORE dollars for an upgrade set, when I can get it all at once for only 100 USD in a box set with better colors AND more figures?

Hey man, if you like the hasbro version than thats awesome. A LOT of bang for your buck there. However you do end up with 3 toys that are straight up repeats of toys you already may have (Streetwise, Brawl and Scattershot) with a combiner head you probably also already have. Plus Hasbro's cant do the cool drill hand!

I actually don't have those molds, and I would also much rather have the Dead End mold as Lightspeed than the Breakdown mold. I also am not hugely upset about not being able to do the drill-hand, since I don't ever think of Computron doing something like that. Devastator with drill hands is awesome because he is a crazy brute who is obsessed with destruction. Computron, is a calculative genius who always is very precise with his movements and shots. You can't really calculate your strikes as well with a drill hand as you can with a rifle.

If these are all new molds for you then its a super sweet deal!
And about the drill hand, to be fair I always preffered the computron design over the character himself. Hes a pretty terrible fighter. He can be precise all he wants but since he wont give in to his inner warrior and preffers to calculate odds (out loud to the enemy?!) he ends up being such an easy adversary to beat.

I cant wait to make him moer badass with that drill.

I'm really excited for both Computrons - sometimes I really feel spoiled by having access to product from both sides of the Pacific.

It isn't really fair to count Scattershot, as we knew from the mainline Scattershot that this is what the boxset version was going to look like (You're right with the combiner head, though).

I dont get it, how does him being at retail already mean we know what he would look like in a later release, wouldnt it be the other way around? Because he was already available at retail then a second Hasbro version would hopefully have some change to the sculpt to amplify the distinction between the Scattershot that forms Betatron and the one that forms Computron. Takara's came out later than hasbro's individual computron and it has changes in its sculpt, the least Hasbro could do is give fans somethign they didnt get at retail already. At least thats how I see it.
Also, you tell me which headsculpt you like best, regardless of what is most show accurate (though of course that can be why you like one better):
I don't mean to toot my own horn or get anyone's hopes up too high, but I had a lengthy conversation with Hayato Sakamoto back at BotCon in which he made mention of a Unite Warriors release of Baldigus, but I didn't get to ask if his mentioning it was in regards to something that is coming or something that he's wanting to come.steals_your_goats wrote:william-james88 wrote:StarFireMk4 wrote:According to this post on the news sub-forum on TFW, it looks like Yuki may (or may not) be teasing a Renuation (?) repaint of Bruticus.

Obviously I'm optimistic, but wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen.
The post just says happy birthday since this marks the 15th anniversary of car robots. Its not a tease like we saw before.
I'm not saying this post means anything but if they we're doing a ruination repaint why would they do a teaser like we saw before? With the standard silhouettes it's obvious which combiner they're doing but for a straight repaint it would be more vague.

You could use it. Or even quote the relevant portion of the original conversation post in the link (it's the 11th bullet point).william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I don't mean to toot my own horn or get anyone's hopes up too high, but I had a lengthy conversation with Hayato Sakamoto back at BotCon in which he made mention of a Unite Warriors release of Baldigus, but I didn't get to ask if his mentioning it was in regards to something that is coming or something that he's wanting to come.steals_your_goats wrote:william-james88 wrote:StarFireMk4 wrote:According to this post on the news sub-forum on TFW, it looks like Yuki may (or may not) be teasing a Renuation (?) repaint of Bruticus.

When asked to tell more about how Black Convoy got his Energon Matrix, Sakamoto said that he’s waiting for a Unite Warriors Baldigus release before saying any more about that. I didn’t get to ask if he meant that there is a Unite Warriors Baldigus coming, or if he’s just wanting there to be one.
