Thanks to our resident Takara news bringer TFYuki and that Interview with Hayato Sakamoto, we bring to you something that really isn't a tease, but more of an interesting rumor. To date, Takara has avoided straight repaints in their Unite Warriors line, but on the 15th anniversary of the original Robots in Disguise cartoon, it has been brought to our attention that there is a possibility of a Unite Warriors Ruination to come!

Now, we ask that you take this with a few grains of salt seeing as how we didn't get a teaser but more of a heavy implication from some "Happy Birthday" Robots in Disguise pictures posted by TFYuki as well as a mention in the interview with Hayato Sakamoto:

When asked to tell more about how Black Convoy got his Energon Matrix, Sakamoto said that he’s waiting for a Unite Warriors Baldigus release before saying any more about that. I didn’t get to ask if he meant that there is a Unite Warriors Baldigus coming, or if he’s just wanting there to be one.

Not trying to be a downer but just a couple of things of note...

1. TT would be releasing him as Baldigus/Valdigus not Ruination.
2. TT would have nothing to celebrate this year (2016) as last year (2015) would have been the 15th anniversary of "Car Robots", they would have no reason to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Hasbro's RiD line.
3. The original "Ruination" toy released by Hasbro in 2001 was not animation accurate, and neither were any of its repaints

Not saying it is/isn't going to happen I have no clue, but just some counterpoints to the ongoing speculation. Heck if Hasbro can release a G2 Bruticus, then I'd be all for a TT CR Baldigus/Valdigus, but to me it just seems unlikely at this point. Honestly I'd love to see what TT could do with Sky Reign & Victorion, (though unlikely) keep the line going with new characters before recycling old ones.

And I think this may be the point where mold fatigue takes my interest. I don't have great memories of RID molds or the show except for that OP-UM super robot and Brave Max.

Looks great. I have no attachment to Armada in general but that Thrust is beautiful. I want four!

Well...since they are basically becoming Galvatron, they have to follow suit with the boss' heh...

Also the fat "Grand Galvatron" holo from Headmasters is a nice touch. Every time I see that, I have to wonder about the theory that even though TF:TM wasn't released in Japan until 1989, they (Toei) must have known about it since their own studio animated it, and since TF 2010 (US season 3) had references & appearances by Unicron.

I think the appearances of dead bots in the early episodes of Headmasters is more just a lazy error and lack of communication more than flat out "not knowing" what happened in TF:TM.

That Grand Galvitron is confusingly, strangely beautiful. A bit out of my price range and not really fitting into my Sunbow/generations/IDW G1 collection so I wont be buying. But it looks awesome. That Breakdown is super sweet and Starscream's ghost was a great idea/mould use.

I really hope someone out there will make casts of Starscream's head though, I love the look of it. If anyone does make casts I will buy 3 for my FoC Seekers. As long as they fit correctly.

I was just thinking about it, and I have to admit I'm really happy that, between Takara and the Club, we're getting a couple combiners composed of bots from different factions.

"Combiner Haunt Leader" is a pretty loose interpretation of his Japanese title 怨靈破壞大帝 (onryo hakai taitei), too loose as "Combiner" isn't mentioned anywhere. It actually translates to this: "Wraith Emperor of Destruction", another variation to the classic standard.

Not a huge fan of Grand Galvs.
I like the UW Cyclonus, but that's about it.
The UW combined version's colors almost make him look like he could be an Autobot.
